The Edmonton screening had no sound for the first 20 min. Obviously I’ll see it again, but anything interesting in the dialogue in the first 20?

Hey friends,

Anyone have suggestions on resources or advice on volume control with a kid on the spectrum? My six year old son is a wonderful kid, he’s just always yelling. I don’t think he even realizes how loud he is, but I don’t really know how to reinforce it. We’ve tried to use red/yellow/green and numbers to try and communicate how loud he is, but in no time he’s loud again. It’s started to be an issue in school, but it’s not a yelling at anyone. His teacher was telling me that they will all be quietly working, and he will loudly announce he’s going to get up and put his paper in the container.

He had ear tubes, and I’m trying to get him seen to check that it’s not a wax build up, but nothings been mentioned the times he’s been to the doctor after getting his tubes at 4.

So any advice on how to get across to my son how loud he is?
