Questions about the Caspian, Nomad and the upcoming Rhino

Hello fellow Commanders,

I'm using a Krait Phantom for exploration in the deep black right now. It's outfitted with 2 AFMU, a Repair Limpet Controller, a SRV Hangar and all the other default stuff. I started heading out in the black more than a year ago, took a break after a while and now came back to continiue my trip. My goal was to fly to the edge of the map and from there along its border to beagle point, from there to Colonia and back to the bubble without skipping anything via neutron star jumps. Also doing some Expobiology on planets with 3 or more bio sources and collection some other materials for later engineering or maintenance. While the Krait Phantom is a really nice ship, discovering bio and material sources on planets and collecting them is a real pain, especially if you consider the amount of stops a long exploratioin has. Now with the introduction of the Caspian Explorer, the Nomad and the upcoming Rhino I wonder if it will be better to head back to the bubble and outfit a Caspian Explorer for my task and I have the following questions:

  1. Can the Caspian Explorer really fit everything like
  2. - A hangar for the Rhino
  3. - A hangar for the Nomad
  4. - 2 AFMU
  5. - 1 Repair Limpet Controller
  6. - All the default stuff like Guardian Booster, maybe a mining laser etc.
  7. Can a fully outfitted Capsian still maintain a Jump Range of at least 65-70ly fully loaded?
  8. Is there enough information at the moment to tell if the Rhino can replace a SRV?
  9. If the Rhino can't replace a SRV can the Caspian hold another hangar for a SRV? (Propably not I think)
  10. Can the Nomad track down Materials and Collect them like a SRV? (Thinking of replacing the Rhino with a second nomad if thats possible since the Rhino will be propably slow and finding and collecting stuff with the crappy SRV takes ages).
  11. Are there any downsides besides the difficulty of landing on a planet between the Caspian and the Krait Phantom?
  12. I usually dont outfits my explorers with weapons since I'm playing either in a solo lobby or on Mobius PVE. Should I bring weapons with the Caspian?
  13. Might I be happier with a Mandalay for such long exploration trips than with a Caspian? (I dont own a Carrier or be part of a Squadron that owns one)

Thanks in advance fellow Commanders. Wish you a nice and peaceful journey.

Thank you all for your feedback. I'm back at the bubble getting my Caspian outfitted and engineered.

[Outfit Studio][UBE] How to fix missing genital area of the base shape of an outfit?

Hello,

I'm trying to zap the panties of this this outfit but the base shape has it's genital area missing like shown in this screenshot. I know it has something to do with the base shape that is used and I already tried to just delete the base shape because I saw that a lot of outfits don't have one and was hoping the default body I have built would be used automatically but it just caused the whole body except hands and feet were missing ingame. My guess is that I have to replace the base shape with another one, or add somehow the missing base shape parts, or I'm missing some steps to get it to work with just deleting the whole base shape. Body is UBE same as the outfit.

Thanks in advance. Wish you a good one.

*edit*

I think I managed to fix it somehow with the help of the comments. Just deleting the bodyshape, importing a new one, copy the weights and conform it did work but it made the steel armor wiggling with the breasts. So I kept the original bodyshape, added the new one, set the original shape as reference and copied its weights to the new one and deleted the old one after. Just dunno exactly what I was doing but it seems everything works fine now. Thanks for your help.

Lost in the Reddit comments rabbitholes - 9070xt for 1080p gaming

Hello,

I have a 9070xt and because of an faulty monitor I'm about to buy a new one (something 1080p 24" ish). My consideration for buying a 9070xt was that I wanna play games on highest settings (with raytracing if available) at 1080p for as long as possible without having to turn down settings as fast like on a 1440p monitor, use upscaling because of performance issues or even having to buy a new gpu earlier than neccessary; Especially with the rising gpu prices in mind. This is my rock-solid conviction, but I'm also struggling with serious insecurity because other people's opinions weigh too much and make me stumble, so the simple task of buying a new monitor ends in an odysee.

So I went down a rabbithole with all the reviews about monitors, resolution, display size etc. and reddit comments about it. People call it a crime, bottlenecking etc. to use such a gpu for 1080p gaming instead of 1440p. So am I insane? Aren't my considerations of longevity legit? Or am I missing something?
