Time fraud

When I was new, a woman kicked out out of the house where she was training me, at 8:00 PM, because she was tired. My end time was 9:00 PM. I told her that I needed the income. She told me to clock out at 9:00 PM, and told me how to do it so that it would not get detected. I clocked out at 8:00 and left. I would rather lose an hour of income than steal from my employer.

Lots of employees did it. They were behaving like children- being naughty and enjoying getting away with it. Now, few employees do it. My employer fires those who they know are commiting this offense.

What are your experiences with time fraud?

Event in Kenwood today?

Today at 8:00 AM I saw about 25 cars parked along Route 12 where it intersects with Warm Springs Rd., which is closed. One cop was there, overseeing traffic. Does anyone know what event is going on there? Is there a hotel nearby?

Sorry to post in the Santa Rosa subreddit. There is no Kenwood subreddit.

My benefits have been reduced

I am in my early 60’s. I am not collecting social security benefits yet because I am still working. In 2022, I logged onto the social security site to see what my benefits would be at each age progression.

At that time, the monthly payout at age 67 was shown as $1354. Now when I log on, it shows that the payout at that same age would be $1285. There is no reason that I know of for the benefit to be reduced. If anything, it should be increased because I’ve been paying into SS for 4 years.

If you can shed some lite on this, please do. Is this the government reducing SS benefits and hoping we won’t notice?

Flossing a client’s teeth

I am tasked with flossing 2 clients’ teeth. They have flossing piks. They would not try to hurt me deliberately, but I worry that if I floss their molars, I will have to stick my finger in far enuf into their mouths so that if they accidentally were to bite down, I would get injured.

My agency has never said keep yourself safe, which makes me realize that I must think for myself about all risky tasks. If you are tasked with flossing, how do you do it?
