Parking and sleeping in camper in Essen?

Me and my friend are travelling to Essen for Spiel Essen in a couple of weeks and are looking into where in Essen to park. We would like to park as near Messe Essen as possible but have little knowledge of the town and if there is any recommendations when parking and sleeping in the van or if there's any neighbourhoods we should stay away from etc? Any tips or advices is highly appreciated.

I'm calm now.

Just wanted to show my current system I use with my TNs. I've been trying a few different but landed in that I wanted to scale down. Now I just use one notebook in my Passport + kraft folder and zip pouch to store loose papers and recipes (I have two covers but switch the inserts in them depending on the color I want to use for the day). This lives in my back pocket and is used for daily todos and quick notes.

And in my Regular I just have one thick Moleskine Expanded (cut down to regular size) where I put everything + Kraft folder and zip pouch. Just open to the next blank page and write a note, an idea, a journal post, a packing list etc. Just a mix of everything. I have a calender on the last twelve spreads and a sort of index to keep some track of things once it starts to get full.

I finally feel 100% calm in how I want to use my notebooks as for now. I realised that I didn't like multiple notebook that sort of made me think about where to write something. I also wanted something thicker in my regular to be able to reference notes and ideas for a longer period of time.

The one thing I love about TNs is how non linear they are. Just like life. What's works today might not work in I week, a month or a year. And that's fine.

Evening journaling with my Olive Regular.

Journaling and sketching after a long day. The kids are asleep and all the house chores are done. This is my time to unwind and just relax.

Thicker inserts?

I'm trying to find a thicker insert for my regular. By thicker I simply mean more pages. I've seen that you can buy a A5 MD paper notebook and cut it to the right size but was wondering if you have any other suggestions on notebooks that are thicker and that fits the regular TN?

Happy Midsummer from Sweden

Celebrating Midsummer with my TN Passport. Will probably be used to write down funny things people say after some schnapps and herring 🙃

Trying out Field Notes in my Travelers Notebook Passport size...

... and even if there is a bit of overhang I really dig it. The best of two worlds. Field Notes awesome notebooks and Travelers Notebooks amazing leather cover.

Cheap Amazon A6 notebooks turned into Passport and Field Notes size.

I bought a bulk of cheap A6 notebooks on Amazon. They had surprisingly good quality. But since I really don't use A6 size to do notes I decided to bring out the knife and cut them to passport size and Field Notes size to use with my TN. After rounding the edges they turned out great. I just need to slap some stickers on and I'll be set for the year.
