Just got DoW by the two civs that are severely behind everyone else. What could lead the AI to do such a move?

For context I was in a continent standard size immortal game and on like turn 280 and already ahead of everyone else in every metric by a decent margin and while I was expecting the second and third civs to try and attack me I got bamboozled and DoW by the two weakest civs in the game!

As expected they were not really capable of doing any significant damage (or any damage for that matter) but I found it quite an interesting situation as this never happened for me before. They even aknowledged how superior I was in their war monologue but still said something along the lines of " but I am still attacking you anyways".

So I was wondering what type of situation or variables would push the AI to make such a decision?

What changes with victory conditions when you increase.m the game size from small to standard for example?

I know that both domination and culture victories get harder but does the same apply to the diplomatic and science victories?

Also, I know this may be obvious but just to make sure the map generation makes bigger continents/lands when you increase the size like this right?

My cat seem to have an abscess. Does she need a vet? (please read the whole post before replying)

My 15 month old female cat seem to have an abscess below her ear as in the picture (Sorry for the low quality). In two days it reached its biggest size and then was opened probably by her scratching it with her feet. It drained a bit of blood and pus and its size went down significantly and now a week has passed since I noticed it. I also made sure to clean any pus or dead cells off and kept it clean as much as possible. The picture I uploaded is after all of this.

Keep in mind that she is extremely healthy with no symptoms to speak of and she is still eating normally. No signs of pain either when I touch it.

Does she need a vet visit? Or will it go away on its own at this rate?

Add more incentives/special rewards to hardcore mode

Anyone else thinks hardcore mode is kinda pointless right now?

And before anyone starts typing I am not talking about the fact that its difficult or that totem of undying let you cheat death I am fine with these. My problems lies with the fact that there is no real incentive to go out of your way and play hardcore instead of survival on hard other than bragging rights.

I think hardcore should have extra rewards that are not available in survival mode. For example having better drop rates for rare loot or being able to somehow get hold of stuff like bedrock, end portal frames, debug stick and commands blocks without cheats. That way there would actually be enough merits to make you consider putting your whole world on the line!

When are the visual novels set timeline wise?

I am planning to rewatch the anime and thought it would be a good idea to play the visual novels along as well since they seem to be connected to the story. Anyone knows where they fall timeline wise?

Can someone please help me get up to snuff? Last time I played was when they changed how the Heroes work and added all these stupid weapons. Did these become central parts of the game now? And is there a way to get them now? What else changed in the game?
