Conheci meu "furmate"

Beleza. Até ai tudo bem. Eu perguntei pra ela se ela tava falando sério sobre ela querer ser meu furmate, ela disse que imaginava essa relação sendo como "fun and supportive bond where we talk a lot, share interests and be there for each other. Nothing too complicated, just something genuine and chill", mas no outro dia ja tava flertando comigo. Agora eu fiquei confuso.

Therians aren't the problem; the lack of boundaries is.

Look, I am not prejudiced against Therians. In fact, I am someone who appreciates the different (not to say the weird). I think what they do is very cool, as it involves creativity (making masks, tails, OCs) and physical exercise in a fun way (quadrobics and healthy body expression). What I don't agree with is the weird side of the fandom itself. Some treat their identity like a religion, that they were born animals and genuinely behave like animals. The problem isn't that; it's how they decide to impose this belief.

There is a Therian on Twitter, I won't name names. They post art with a child-like aesthetic but featuring taboo and gore themes. I was shocked by how much of this art romanticizes weirdness, gore, and fetishes, such as pup play, self-harm, and sexually explicit content, all while glorifying the Therian identity. Their motto is "Misfits are cool, normies are worthless."

That is the point. They demand that people around them validate and accept their behaviors, yet there is a blatant hypocrisy in not accepting those who do not accept who they are. Of course, I don't think all Therians are like this; I actually enjoy following some of their trends. But when a large audience of Therians gives attention to this type of person, and it is sold to youth as "the price of being authentic," it makes you doubt.

The use of this child-like aesthetic is the most dangerous part. It acts as a visual "Trojan Horse" that attracts the wrong audience from two different angles. First, it lures in children and young teens who are drawn to the cuteness of the art, only to end up exposed to heavy trauma and fetishes.

Second, it creates the perfect camouflage for predatory and abusive behaviors to hide behind the excuse of "misunderstood art." Mixing visual innocence with the shock value of gore and fetishes isn’t being authentic; it is being irresponsible with the safety of minors online. And this is more common than it seems, not just among therians. Though I see it quite often within the therian community. When you mix a child-like aesthetic, fetishes/gore, and a deep identity crisis ('I was born in the wrong body, the world hates me'), you create an unstable psychological time bomb for a 13-year-old, far worse than for a kid who just likes drawing furries.

The Difference Between Being Different and Being Weird

Many people confuse these two terms. Being different is, essentially, being unique. The focus is on identity, creativity, and respecting one's own essence, without the need to mold oneself to fit others' expectations. It is about being authentic.

Being weird involves a sense of estrangement. The word "weird" is usually used when someone's behavior breaks implicit social rules, causing discomfort or a sense of being "out of place." Weirdness becomes negative and selfish when it transforms into a shield for a lack of awareness. When a person tries too hard to seem unique, they often stop being authentic (different) and start being inconvenient (weird).

Instead of the person thinking, "Am I being annoying/rude by doing this in this environment?", they think, "I am misunderstood; people are just too normal and close-minded to understand me." They want the entire world to stop and look at them, even if it causes discomfort, secondhand embarrassment, or disrupts the environment. They don't think about the impact of their actions on the people around them. Therians often fall into this behavior: "I feel like a wolf, so I'm going to growl at people in the classroom, and if they don't like it or feel uncomfortable, it's their problem for being intolerant." This forces others to deal with their extreme, individual eccentricity without caring if it breaks the harmony of the environment or causes awkwardness for others.

Furries are "different" (even though a weird side can exist in that fandom, just like in any other). It is essentially a fandom of art and creativity focused on anthropomorphic animals (animals with human characteristics). Furries have very clear social rules. They know they are wearing a costume and playing a game, and they respect the context - such as dressing up at their own conventions or in designated spaces. And generally, anyone who is weird in the furry fandom does not receive applause for it from the fandom.

Ultimately, my issue isn't with people identifying as animals themselves, but rather with the deliberate social isolation, the lack of social awareness, and the exposure of minors to sensitive content.

[PC] [2011-2015~] Flash game about a naked man with a mustache in a mansion full of zombies.

Platform: PC (Probably an old Flash browser game).

Genre: 2D Platformer.

Estimated year of release: I must have played between 2011 and 2015 or so.

Graphics/art style: 2D.

Notable characters: A naked man with a mustache. There's probably a part where he wears a green suit. Some zombies were wearing clothes, other zombies were also naked.

Notable gameplay mechanics: You fight zombies inside a mansion that looked like a labyrinth. The main character shoots lightning/lasers from his fingers. When you zap a zombie, it turns completely black with bulging, blinking eyes, and then turns to dust. It probably had some item that gave you a power-up.

Other details: When you die, the game over screen features thunder and shows your character rising from the ground as a zombie outside the mansion. Or something like that.
