Bad bounce on the glass

I had this situation in a game. During the service, the ball bounced on the floor and then hit the point where the fence and the glass meet, probably a little more on the glass side. It sounded like it hit the glass only and not the fence at all. However, the ball exited with a very close weird angle, making it extremely difficult to return. I believe the glass or its assembly is defective in that spot.

Is there any rule about whether that’s a good point or a fault? We decided it hit the glass so it was good, but clearly unfair because the receiver couldn’t return it (and it happened twice).

Tax return returned to sender and never got

I paper filed the 2025 federal tax return back in April. I live out of the US and sent it via Docsmit (an online service that prints it and sends it from the US). If I am not mistaken, I entered the right destination address:

Department of the Treasury
Internal Revenue Service
Austin, TX 73301-0215, US

Today I realized Docsmit marked that mail as "Return to sender", but I don't know the reason. I have not got the mail back either. So I guess my tax return never made it to the IRS.

What should I do next? I can just paper file again using a different courier, but I don't know if I will have to pay penalty fees for late filing. Is there a way to justify that I tried to file on time?

Outdoor door sensor for a metallic door

I have a metallic door in the backyard, both sides are outdoors and I want to know when it is open. Is there any door sensor with a weather proof case that fits this scenario?

I am happy with the Sonoff SNZB-04PR2 for the doors indoors, but I didn't find any suitable case for it.

Mini-ZBDIM cannot dim the light

I installed a Mini-ZBDIM with dimmable lights and a momentary switch. When I single push the switch, the lights turn on (good), and when I long press the switch, the lights get brighter (good). However, a second click or a second long press do not turn of the lights or dim them.

The integration with home assistant works well and the physical button on the relay correctly turns on and off the lights. I tried auto calibration and changing the "switch type" of the relay.

What may be the problem?

Is the PM2 Gen4 suitable for these rolling shutters?

I am looking for a Zigbee relay to control roller shutters that supports at least 1.8A and that works with double rocker switches: one switch rolls the shutter up, the other rolls it down, and they keep their position as regular switches. It stops automatically when the shutter is completely up or down.

(Also, this is for Europe and not USA, but this sub looks like the perfect place to ask).

Is the PM2 Gen4 a good fit for this? Would any other relay make it?
