Brother Junipers

A nice treat after my dentist appointment this morning. I picked up another TG2G from Brother Juniper's, a local brunch restaurant. PBreakfast potatoes, cheese grits, a biscuit. I also ordered a coffee. Everything was tasty and devoured in my car. 😋

Whole Foods Meat Bag, $9.99 Germantown, TN.

I got the notification at 12:19 pm and clicked within 90 seconds! I was surprised to get it. I received these "tig 'ol bitties" (IYKYK) that are normally $5.99 a pound (about $9.50 per pack). It comes in just at, maybe a tad under, the $30 value. I was hoping for some beef or something else, but I'll call it a win.

Brother Juniper's $3.99/bag. Near University of Memphis.

Brother Juniper's is a breakfast/brunch restaurant in the university district. Today I bought two bags. I received a nice portion of cheese grits and biscuits with white gravy. I grew up in the northern part of the United States and sweet grits were the norm in my household (extra sugar and extra butter). I was not introduced to savory grits until I moved to the south. I never became a fan of savory grits, but Brother Juniper's has made me a proselyte! These grits have the perfect blend of cheeses and is seasoned well with a nice peppery kick. I almost licked the container. The biscuits with gravy did not have sausage (alas!), but was a generous serving and delicious! The biscuits were soft and fluffy and the gravy was not too thick and had good flavor. I ate it with my fingers. TGTG price is a steal.

So, I received a $20 Starbucks gift card from the office secretaries for School Nurse Day. It was the only real recognition I received today and it brought me to tears. After getting off of work, I decided to pick up a couple items from a local grocery store that happens to have a Starbucks inside. I placed my order in the app and discovered after checkout that it was the wrong store. 🤦🏿‍♀️ Since there's no cancel button, I braved the traffic and drove to the other location. When I got to the Starbucks counter, it was a ghost town. An employee nearby said the Starbucks was closed. They weren't scheduled to close for another 30 minutes according to the app! After about 20 minutes on the phone, a customer agent was finally able to reverse the charge. I really had my taste buds set on that white chocolate mocha. I don't understand why the order function wasn't disabled if they closed early. Anyway, wasted gas and no drink. 😐
