Would you be concerned with this?

My brother from Brisbane was introduced to a woman in Vietnam by our stepmum. They spent 2 weeks together and have now been talking online for around 4 months.
Our stepmum arranged a wedding for December, but I objected and it was cancelled. Now they’re secretly planning a wedding for June next year.

The concern is that my brother had never wanted marriage before this. It seems like he’s seeking validation from having a girlfriend and from our parents, while our stepmum is heavily pushing the relationship forward.

Our extended family also worries she may be more interested in moving to Australia, but we can’t know that for sure.

Is this a red flag, or should I stay out of it and let him decide?

25M cousin wants to marry 23F woman he met in Vietnam — would you be concerned?

My cousin (25 M) from Brisbane was introduced to a woman (23 F) in Vietnam by his step-mum. He went to Vietnam for 2 weeks, met her, and came back to Australia.

His stepmum then organised a wedding for December, only 3 months after they met. His sister objected because everything seemed to be moving way too quickly, so the wedding was cancelled.

Now we’ve found out they’re planning to get married in June next year, but the stepmum is keeping it quiet because she knows the family doesn’t support it.

The concern is that my cousin has never really shown an interest in marriage before this. He seems to rely heavily on his parents’ approval and attention, and now that he has someone giving him affection and his stepmum constantly encouraging the relationship, he seems to be going along with everything.

The family is also concerned that the woman may be more interested in the idea of moving to Australia than in him, although we obviously can’t know that for sure.

His sister feels like he’s not making this decision completely independently and is more caught up in finally having a girlfriend and getting his parents’ approval.

Are we being overly concerned?

Is this quote reasonable?

Is this quote reasonable?

We tiled two bathrooms as part of a project. The builder/client later claimed the tiling didn’t meet standard due to drummy/debonded wall tiles. This was only identified after the full bathroom fit-out had been completed. We were willing to return and rectify any issues, but they proceeded with the fit-out and then refused to allow us access to rectify the work.

They’ve now presented us with a quote for $17k to repair approximately 58m² of wall tiles using a tile glue injection method and are seeking to recover the cost from us.

Does this quote sound reasonable for this type of repair? Has anyone had experience with tile injection?
