Playing ball

Funny how people love to play baseball with your life.

They’ll step up to the plate acting like they’re solid—talking loyalty, respect, consistency. Swinging big with words they don’t back up. And for a minute, you almost believe they’re the real deal.

But then the game starts.

Suddenly they’re dropping balls they swore they’d catch. Missing plays that actually mattered. Running bases they were never committed to finishing.

And you’re left out there… holding it all together, wondering how someone who talked like a pro plays like they’ve never even been in the game.

See, here’s the truth nobody wants to say out loud:

Just because you say the right things… Just because you pretend to show up… Just because you look like you’re in the game…

Does NOT make you a player.

Real ones don’t just talk it. They show up. They stay solid. They follow through.

So if you’re asking for loyalty, honesty, and respect… but you’re out here lying, disappearing, and playing games—

you’re not that person. Period.
