I look like I have a sunburn after using Calecim Pink Serum!

I used the Pink Serum for the first time last night. When I woke up in the morning, my entire face looked as red as a tomato, was hot AF, and looked and felt like I had a bad sunburn, stripped of any moisture, it was so dehydrated. I've been soothing my skin all day today.

The research I did on the Pink Serum prior to purchasing it led me to understand that the exact opposite reaction would be achieved i.e. to "reduce downtime, procedure discomfort and swelling, improvements in skin hydration, softness, and overall radiance". It can literally be used after a chemical peel or microneedling, neither of which I did. Prior to my first use, I even asked Calecim directly if I can use my 0.5 retinol in the same routine, they said it was perfectly fine. I've been using the Young Goose Bio-Retinol for 9 months, so my skin is fully acclimated to it, plus its very moisturizing.

I'm curious if anyone might share some insight into possible causes, or if you've had a similar reaction to the Calecim Pink Serum.

How to prevent sunscreen from melting off when I sweat?

You already know the struggle. It has taken some of us years to create a skincare routine that works for our hyper-temperamental skin.   Colorescience Classic & Flex (cream formula) combined with Colorescience Sunforgettable Brush-On (powder) have been my holy grail sunscreens for years. I moved to a state with higher humidity, when I sweat my sunscreen breaks down/melts off.

I considered a makeup primer, but, as you can imagine I have to be so careful I don't layer too many products, because that'll usually trigger a flare up.    I was looking into a makeup setting spray but have not find one that doesn't have sensitizing ingredients i.e. parfum, denatured alcohol, essential oils.

What can I use to keep my sunscreen in tact? If you have product recommendations, please share the name vs "look for something with X ingredient" - thank you!
