Injured at home, what now? Fml

So I was in the kitchen going to town on some tacos de chicharron when my whole ass tipped back off the stool. I fell hard on a previous injury, and now the area’s all swollen and I can barely move it.

It’s not a workplace injury, so what are my options? I only have about 30 hours saved going into an MET week, so not enough to just dip in freely. I only just made blue badge and got signed up for health insurance in the last couple of weeks; haven’t even used it yet.

I called up a couple of local urgent care clinics, but between insurance providers and appointment availability there seems to be nothing today to get a note from.

Do I just go in tomorrow, ask to go to AmCare, and let them know what happened? And maybe then go home after that? Pretty sure I’ll need to be bringing in some kind of documentation and engaging with all that, but if I won’t have anything by tomorrow, then what next? I could try to find an appt. for tomorrow but not sure if it’d help to show up and report first

Update: Ok, I’m at the emergency room although sounds like that may not help. Sounds like I need to find a primary care doctor on short notice or I’m screwed. Any suggestions for how to go about this? It seems to typically take weeks…

Savory negi wafer straws?

A long time ago (abt 15 years or more) I went to an Asian grocery and, not knowing much about food at the time, just brought home a few random products. One was a wafer-straw snack that was green onion flavored rather than sweet. They were delicious, but looking around in other areas I’ve never seen them since. It seems like wafer straws are pretty much exclusively sweet rather than savory. But has anyone seen a product like this? The only other thing I can think of is if it wasn’t exactly a wafer straw per se, but similar. For a long time I even had a wrapper saved but unfortunately lost track of it.

Wilding-out thread for people affected by forest fire smoke

Does anyone else feel like the forest-fire smoke fucks with their cognition? Like even just walking to the corner store I felt it was making me irrational, and my house is not airtight either. I’m glad I don’t have to work today but it looks like this is just gonna get more intense over the next hundred hours or so. This thread is for local random thoughts and venting because the smoke makes my brain function badly
