About Mizi-

Was Mizi's chest always this big ? I feel weird asking this lmao, but it's a genuine question. Her chest in ZOMST is definitely bigger than her chest is ALNST, which makes me wonder that since she was an idol when she was a human, could it be possible that the industry made her do breast enhancement surgery to make her more "desirable" to the audience ?

Idk if I have to add the NSFW tag for this, but i'll add it just in case

The subreddit

Has anyone here considered requesting for moderation over the subreddit?

Despite this subreddit having a decent amount of contributors, the subreddit itself is pretty empty. There's no rules, no flairs, and the pinned post is the link to the old server that you can't even join because the link is expired and the server itself is now deleted. And despite the mod being pretty active on Reddit in general, they seem to be pretty inactive in the MND subreddit.

Drop the most nonsensical ship you can think of

I'll go first. Cheong-san x Ji-min

Saw an edit of them on TikTok once. Don't know why the person ships it, but okay, i respect their opinion

AOUAD lowk has a character development problem

Imo, one of the main things I don't like about AOUAD is that a lot of the characters, especially the female ones, don't get a lot of development, or their arcs are underwhelming

(webtoon lore will be marked as spoilers so dw)

Na-yeon

I heard that apparently Na-yeon was originally supposed to have a longer redemption arc, but because of Yoo-mi's role in Squid Game, they had to cut her story short. Tbh, I gen can't think of a scenario where anything different would happen to her. Even if Gwi-nam didn't kill her, there were way too many zombies outside the school, she wouldn't be able to make it up to the roof. And even if she did, literally none of the characters would even forgive her- especially not Cheong-san. The only way her character would develop was if she opened the door when the main group were still in the music room. I'm not too upset that she ended up dying, but I do think that Na-yeon still deserved a longer redemption arc, all that screentime she got kinda felt pointless since in the end, she ended up dying, and it's a shame that she originally was gonna have a longer arc, but it was rewritten because of Yoo-mi's schedule. >!Though her character was done way more dirty in the Webtoon, since she not only got Gyeong-su infected, but also killed Ms. Park and Wu-jin- so I guess that didn't happen in the show ig??!< But the show still could've been a good opportunity to give Na-yeon a better arc.

Hee-su

I've made a million posts about Hee-su and how much I wish she was a main character, and that opinion still stands. She should've been a major character and she should've been with the main group. I know that she was added just for world-building- but I'm like bruh... A 17-year-old pregnant teenager who gives birth on her own and is trying to protect her baby in a zombie apocalypse.. THAT'S the kind of character they chose to make JUST for fucking WORLD-BUILDING??? I don't understand why they had to restrict her to just a world-building character. I get it's supposed to show what's happening outside the school, but they could've used ANY OTHER character for that. Plus, there were ENOUGH characters outside the school (Soju, Eun-hee, Jae-ik and Ho-chul, Eun-ji, Cheong-san's mom, etc etc). Plus, it would've made the show more entertaining imo. Because if Hee-su was with the main group, it definitely would've been more dynamic since the characters would have to be stressed out and worried abt her baby. Not to mention, the actress deserved better too- I follow Lee Chae-eun on instagram, and she seems like a really cool person. It's gen so sad to me that her character had such an interesting story and yet her role was just reduced to a world-building character. I know she was 17, and maybe they couldn't give her more material because of school or restrictions? But she deserved more material imo.

Eun-ji

Tbh, Eun-ji was lowk wasted. She didn't really do much except for trying to kill Cheong-san and Su-hyeok, attempting to burn the school and cause the group to not get rescued. And I really wish we got to see more from her, especially since she was the first hambie/halfbie, and her backstory was also really tragic. Ik many people have said this, but it would've been epic to see a battler between her and Gwi-nam. And also, maybe this is an unpopular opinion? But I would've liked to see more interactions between her and Su-hyeok, since he tried to help her before the apocalypse. And ofc, I would love to see her interact with Nam-ra too. Idk if Eun-ji will come back in S2, I hope she does. If so, I hope she'll get a more major arc in S2.

Myeong-hwan

He's the leader of the group Gwi-nam was in, and this is prob just my opinion, but i feel like he should've gotten more screentime or character. His lackey got development than he did lmao. I get that's probably the point of his character, but idk, i still wish he got more screentime tbh.

Jin-su

Bro is literally the reason the virus was even made- and yet we barely know ANYTHING abt him. And I haven't finished the entire Webtoon yet, but it seems like Jin-su also doesn't get a lot of screen-time or info there either. But it makes more sense for the Netflix. >!Because in the Webtoon, the virus wasn't created by his father, it was from a mysterious worm that bit and infected him and he and Byeong-chan were fishing.!< But in the Netflix, Byeong-chan was the one who CREATED the virus because Jin-su was getting severely bullied by Myeong-hwan's gang. So he's the REASON the virus was created and was the first zombie- shouldn't we know a little more about him?? Jin-su is def THE most wasted character. I wish we got to know more abt his personality or more flashbacks of him in this version. And we don't even know what happened to him and his mom after the military took them-

Hyo-ryung

I get she's supposed to represent how WE would be in a zombie outbreak, but i really wish she had more personality. She really didn't do much. I didn't need her fighting zombies or doing smth smart or badass, but she needed more PERSONALITY. I really liked that scene where she was filming her video and telling her parents abt her friends, i wanted more scenes similar to that. >!In the Webtoon, she was killed off pretty early in the apocalypse, and honestly, I think the Webtoon did her character better.!< It makes me wonder why the directors even changed her story and made her a more major character in the Netflix when she doesn't even do much. Also, apparently her name was only said twice in the entire season?? Yike... Well, if she's in S2, I really hope she plays a bigger role.

Wu-jin

I love Wu-jin, but i don't think he got that much development or character- i feel like he was most memorable when he died, but other than that, he was kinda just... there the whole time. >!And to be fair, he also doesn't get much in the Webtoon either since he gets killed by Na-yeon.!< But i still feel like he should've gotten more character in the Netflix- especially since he has a little more story in the show with his sibling relationship with Ha-ri and all that. Not to mention, his death was forced af. It just felt like he died just so we could have that scene where Ha-ri was mourning him.

EDIT:

Additional thing I wanna add is-

Su-hyeok

Su-hyeok's past as a bully. He was part of Myeong-hwan's gang and we don't even know why he was there or what he did, or why he even changed. I get it doesn't matter much in an apocalypse, but it's an interesting fact about him, and I wish it was fleshed out more.

Will this actually happen-

This is totally not me trying to cope with all the "Su-hyeok will die" theories, but I'm genuinely wondering. I could've sworn I once saw someone in the reddit say that in S2, Nam-ra will be the one protecting Su-hyeok instead of vice versa like in S1. So like- do you think she would actually bite Su-hyeok to turn him into a halfbie? I'm sorry, but i refuse to believe that they would kill off Su-hyeok after all the shit he somehow managed to pull in S1 without getting bit
