To this day I still wish they were in the Borderlands in S3, but I'm really curious on what would happen if they were

To not make this confusing, i will refer to Arisu by his first name(Ryohei), and Usagi by her first name(Yuzuha)

So Ryohei and Yuzuha are married- but they still call each other by their last names. Ryohei even calls Yuzuha by her last name even though she legally has Ryohei's last name. I read a lot of manga and I know a few things about how Japan uses honorifics, but I'm still a little confused- I feel like they should be calling each other by their first names, no?
