The subreddit

Has anyone here considered requesting for moderation over the subreddit?

Despite this subreddit having a decent amount of contributors, the subreddit itself is pretty empty. There's no rules, no flairs, and the pinned post is the link to the old server that you can't even join because the link is expired and the server itself is now deleted. And despite the mod being pretty active on Reddit in general, they seem to be pretty inactive in the MND subreddit.

Do you think these two would be friends?

I just think the idea of this manga being in the same universe as Homestar Runner is funny.

Predicting Future Volume Covers

For the volume 8 cover, I'm predicting it'll feature both Kiritaka and Yuda's faces either side-by-side mirroring each other or somehow spliced together.

For the 9th and possibly final volume, it would probably have to be Maria again. Maybe crying tears of blood or otherwise looking like she's dying. She hasn't really been shown to be in much peril this whole time and it would be cool to see that, even as a bait-and-switch. She's been sexy and confident plenty. I want some more drama shots.

What if fanfiction in Maria no Danzai: The lost twin.

What if in an alternate universe, Taiichirou and Mari Nagare conceived not just Kiritaka, but an older twin who has his father's black hair and his mother's purple eyes? This infant was seperated from them and they had their memories wiped, leaving only the memory of the son named Kiritaka. The stolen child was abducted by an agent of a secret organization that groomed the boy into a child soldier for a project of creating obedient, ruthless soldiers for a war that they genuinely believe is inevitable. The boy grows up jaded, traumatized, and brutally honest, but is strong-willed, empathetic, and longs for a family that he doesn't know are still alive.

Maria Akeboshi and Taiichirou Nagare discover the son's existence two years after Kiritaka's death, along with learning that he's groomed into a child soldier, and most devastatingly, the boy was never given a name.

How would Maria and Taiichirou react to learning of all this?

Be honest. am i making a good premise for a fanfiction?

How would this story change if it was set in the mid 2000s?

I had a dream last night where I was watching a video of a guy talking about his favorite horror manga from the 2000's. One of the ones he mentioned (alongside Death Note) was Maria no Danzai. I remember seeing a panel of Kiritaka playing what looked like Silent Hill 3 on the PS2.

It got me thinking, what parts of this story would change if it was set in the 2000s? (Let's say 2003-2006)

Obviously the deepfake video would have to be replaced, since technology wasn't that advanced yet.

Songs that make you think of this manga

Could be for the manga in general or for a specific character. Could be in any language. When you think about Maria no Danzai, what songs come to mind?

For me, I think of "Way Down We Go" by Kaleo: https://youtu.be/FjW-kpERj8s

It's got a dark, religious vibe to it and the lyrics fit Maria's outlook toward the bullies.

The Rolling Stones' "Paint it Black" of course is a classic song about the blinding pains of grief: https://youtu.be/O4irXQhgMqg

For kind of a weird one, there's "Dress" by Buck Tick that makes me think of Taiichirou's aching for Mari: https://youtu.be/YUGIxqxncZk

Finally, here's "Do It All The Time" by I Don't Know How But They Found Me that's kinda perfect for the bullies: https://youtu.be/nv9oqihEFnI
