Skyrim Update: What You Need To Know.

Skyrim Updated.

What'd it break?

- Anything SKSE related. (SKSE itself has been updated.)

- Most things based on Address Library. (Address Library itself has not been updated. Edit: It has now been updated.)

What needs to be done?

- Most mods based on Address Library will need to be updated.

How long is this likely to take?

- Anywhere from a week to a month, don't hold your breath.

What should you do?

- If you haven't yet updated, and don't want to scrap your current playthrough, go into your Steam folder. Steamapps. Find the specific file called "appmanifest_489830.acf" and right click it, go to properties. And make it Read Only. (When you want to update again you'll have to undo this, so bookmark a post or whatever.) You should also go into the steam options for the files, and make sure it'll only update when you launch it. This will make sure it wont update automatically, and it cant update unless you try to play it with SKSE. (Which you should launch it through exclusively from now on.)

- If you cant find it just enter that file name into whatever file search your browser has. It should just be in Steamapps.

- If you have updated and didn't realize it, here is a way to downgrade. Credit to another poster.

There's also This Downgrader Tool.

Edit: I am not a modder. I cannot give you in depth advice. This is purely for the people who just poked their head up and don't know what's going on.

Shattered Paths: Congrats ZOS, You Pass The Nerf Test

What do I mean by Nerf Test?

Five years ago ZOS's response to a item overperforming on a specific build in a specific context would have been to crush it, the build and the context. Now it's just removed from the context and slightly nerfed. Words cannot express how much progress this is, in ZOS's balancing methodology.
