Incoming freshman - Schedule Advice

I’m an incoming freshman at FSU with my AA degree already completed. I already have all of my gen eds done and 6 out of the 8 nursing prerequisites completed. The main classes I still need are Anatomy & Physiology I and II.

I’ve heard mixed things about the A&P professor at FSU, so I was thinking about taking them through the FAMU co-op/transient program instead. I’m also interested in adding a criminology/criminal justice minor and looking to take prerequisites for that and possibly OT school after graduating.

Right now, I’m trying to plan my fall schedule before orientation, but a lot of classes already look closed.

Do advisors at orientation usually help students get into needed classes, or once a class is closed, is it basically over? Also, has anyone taken A&P through the FAMU co-op/transient program?

Any advice would really help!

I’m looking for advice because I’m really anxious about my situation and want to know if I’m overthinking this. I was admitted to FSU under the condition that I complete my Associate in Arts degree through dual enrollment by the time I graduate high school.

I have completed all required credits for my AA, but I recently found out I was supposed to formally apply for graduation, which I was never made aware of, so I missed that deadline.

On top of that, one of my final grades was entered incorrectly and I am currently going through a grade correction/appeal process. Because of these issues, my AA degree will likely be awarded in the Summer term instead of Spring.

Some context is that I moved schools during my senior year, and this was the first time my counselor was dealing with a student graduating with an AA through dual enrollment, so the graduation process was not clearly explained to me by my counselor or anyone at the school. I take responsibility for not knowing, but I genuinely was not informed about the graduation application requirement.

I have already reached out to FSU admissions to explain everything, but I’m worried that even though I will complete all requirements before attending, the delayed AA award or missed application could affect my admission and my admission could be rescinded. Any insight would really help.

I received the wrong final grade for one of my classes, and this is my last year at Valencia before transferring to another college. I already emailed my professor, but I haven’t received a response yet. It shows that I got a B instead of an A due to Canvas assignments not syncing correctly with McGraw Hill. I have documentation showing that I completed everything, but it didn’t sync properly.

Is there anything else I can do or any additional steps I should take?
