Do PCP/ACP get paid on their off-days?

Hello! I just wanted to know how it works when you are getting paid on your off-days as both part time and full time. Because I do get that full time you will get paid regardless of, but I’d like to know more of how it works. Same goes for part time PCPs as I know that some services here in Ontario hire part time, so how does pay work when it’s an off-day.

Hello!

I went to my orthopedic doctor appointment and my surgeon gave me the offer to do my surgeon, but this offer came with a really bad reward. My surgeon told me that if I do the surgery due to my type of scoliosis, the L4 would be the only one that isn’t stuck with rods and pins. He said that it is guaranteed to lose all my flexibility, which is something I am really not willing to lose as my spine right now is very flexible and I am just 18. I don’t wanna end my life short by doing this surgery and not being able to live my life like before. He did say that the offer is available for like 30 years, I can finish my education or be working then decide to do it.

He told me that I could just work out, bulk up, gain muscles and it would reduce my pain and hide my scoliosis which would be an alternative treatment which I do wanna do, and it would slow down my disk from wearing down as mine is going to wear down faster than others.

I obviously do trust and believe the surgeon, but has anyone done the surgeon preferably in the same area ish, S curve only the L4 would be left. If you did the same surgery ish how was your outcome? Or if your surgeon had said you would lose all flexibility how was your outcome?
