I am looking for playtesters for the Dark Lord/Lady Simulator

Hello.

My free game "Dominion of Darkness" is a RPG/strategy narrative focused game in which the player takes on the role of a Sauron-style Lord of Darkness with the goal of conquering the world. He will carry out his plans by making various decisions. He will build his army and send it into battles, weave intrigues and deceptions, create secret spy networks and sectarian cults, recruit agents and commanders, corrupt representatives of Free Peoples and sow discord among them, collect magical artifacts and perform sinister plots. It has achieved 4th place on the top rated strategy games list on http://itch.io: http://itch.io/games/top-rated/genre-strategy

Here You can play the last stable version: http://adeptus7.itch.io/dominion

The game is intentionally edgy, dark, and heavy metal. It features elements such as gore, dark humor, occultism, and sex.

But currentIy am looking for playtesters for a newer version that hasn't been officially released yet - You can find it here: https://adeptus7.itch.io/playtesting . If you’d like to help with testing, all you need to do is play this playtesting version through it once (a single session takes about 1.5 hours) and let me know which character you played (sex, class, element) and the difficulty level. If you encounter any bugs, please send a full screenshot of the scene - including the stats visible at the bottom - as this will greatly help me identify the source of the issue. If the error involves an empty screen, please describe the scene that immediately preceded it.

My concepts for the more diverse SoB orders

Why do we see such immense variety among Space Marine Chapters or Guard regiments, whereas the Sisters of Battle almost always look the same? Their Orders don't differ much from one another, and in practice, we almost exclusively see platinum blondes in black armor. Some might argue, "Because the Sisters are under the strict control of the Ecclesiarchy, so they are more standardized"... The thing is, the Ecclesiarchy itself isn't exactly unified! The "Space Catholic" aesthetic is simply the most mainstream one. That is why I see no reason why there couldn't be greater diversity among the Sororitas.

Order of the Cleansed Soul

"The Emperor's grace purifies the unclean." While most Sisters of Battle view psykers with even greater suspicion than other Imperial factions do, this Order tolerates them - albeit under certain conditions. After all, every astropath is personally sanctioned by the Emperor Himself, and who could question His decisions? This does not alter the fact that psychic abilities are inherently evil and unclean; only the Emperor’s grace, combined with the psyker’s own deep faith and devotion, can render them pure. Among the Sisters of this Order are sanctioned female psykers known as Prophetesses. Each Prophetess is assigned a regular Sister as a guardian, tasked with watching over her and - at the slightest sign of heresy or instability in her powers - administering the Emperor’s Mercy. Yet, these Prophetesses are not treated with contempt - as in, "You filthy witch, we tolerate you only for your utility" - but rather with respect: "We appreciate how, with the Emperor’s aid, you exert your will each day to forge light from darkness and compel it to serve a righteous cause. And should you one day grow too weary of this struggle, we shall grant you a well-earned rest, allowing you to take your place at the Emperor’s side rather than be consumed by the unclean Warp."

Order of the Pure Body

Tech-heresy is the worst kind of heresy. Tech-priests would wholeheartedly - with every hand and mechadendrite - agree with that sentiment, yet that does not make these Sisters their allies; quite the opposite. The fact is, to them, the faith of the Adeptus Mechanicus is itself an obvious heresy. These fools and hypocrites claim to loathe Abominable Intelligence, yet they worship "machine spirits"! They claim the Holy Human Form is inferior to dead metal! While the majority of the Ecclesiarchy tolerates the divergent faith of the AdMech, for these Sisters, it is intolerable. They oppose the Red Priests at every opportunity - even engaging in open combat - and refuse their support entirely, relying instead on "mundane" technicians. While other Sisters are fond of speaking of the "Holy Trinity" of Bolter, Flamer, and Meltagun, the Sisters of the Pure Body insist that all machines be treated merely as tools, devoid of any sentiment.

Moreover, the Sisters prefer to use weapons with minimal mechanical complexity - their swords and glaives are enhanced through the use of special metals and alloys, and perhaps even through the power of Acts of Faith, whereas chainswords and energy weapons are less highly regarded. The Sisters also practice unarmed combat; while its battlefield effectiveness is admittedly limited, one should still be able to rely on the strength of one's own body when the need arises.

The Sisters do not accept any mechanical augmentations, though they do accept genetic mutations - specifically those resulting from deliberate scientific action rather than chaotic changes. After all, these become an integral part of the Holy Human Form, whereas lifeless implants always remain foreign bodies that cannot be truly relied upon.

Abominable Intelligence is a foe worse than the xenos - after all, it was what brought humanity to the brink of extinction during the Dark (oh so very dark!) Age of Technology, something no xenos ever managed to do. Besides, xenos are at least living beings... Except for the Necrons, who are the faction the Sisters loathe the most (the fact that the Sisters have heard rumors about the Necrons' history - and perceive the Adeptus Mechanicus as following the same path - only deepens their hostility toward the followers of the Omnissiah).

Order of the Mighty Shield

These Sisters hail from a planet heavily influenced by Fenrisian culture and the Space Wolves (perhaps the world was once saved by that Chapter?). They are often nicknamed "shieldmaidens" or "Valkyries." While relations between the Sororitas and the Astartes (with the possible exception of the Black Templars) are generally tense, the Shieldmaidens view the Astartes - especially the Space Wolves - as their comrades-in-arms. Indeed, this attitude extends to anyone fighting in the Emperor's name. The Shieldmaidens regard combat against the enemies of the Imperium as the highest form of piety - more important than prayer (though the two can, of course, be combined; yet in the heat of battle, they prefer singing sagas of the heroic deeds of the Emperor and other heroes, or simply raising war cries, over chanting psalms). The Sisters are known for administering last rites to dying warriors after a battle, assuring them that their courage has earned them a place at the Emperor's side; they also like to invite soldiers who have distinguished themselves in combat - and survived—to lavish feasts (both practices underscore their "Valkyrie" aspect). This, combined with their pragmatic approach, makes them the Order most highly regarded by rank-and-file Guardsmen and even the Astartes.

Order of the Merciless Arrow

These sisters, sometimes known as "Amazons," hail from a jungle world that rivals even Catachan. They have become specialists in commando-style warfare. They wear facial markings that uniquely blend camouflage with the sacred symbols of the Imperial Cult. In addition to standard weaponry, they employ sniper rifles and specially designed bows that allow them to silently and precisely fire explosive-tipped arrows.

The Amazons believe in the superiority of women. "No men under arms" was the wisest decree in the history of the Imperium. Entire Astartes legions (composed exclusively of men) and Guard regiments (composed mainly of men) defected to Chaos, whereas among the Sisters, such instances are rare and isolated. Goge Vandire was a man, and his masculine appetites played a role in his degeneration. Of course, none of this applies to the Emperor - after all, He is a god, not an ordinary man (and if you find this reasoning nonsensical, consider that in the real world, misogynistic cultures have often fervently worshipped female deities) - though rumors circulate that some Sisters secretly worship the feminine aspect of the Empress, proclaiming the Emperor's masculinity to be an imposed lie. The Amazons must still grit their teeth and obey the orders of male Imperial superiors (an act some interpret as an exercise in humility), yet they are far more willing to heed the words of women.

Radio Cthulhu

So, Cthulhu "sleeps" under the water. Contrary to what Derleth and many people believe, it seems he is not some kind of "water god", quite the contrary, water is somehow blocking him.

And as we know, salt water is blocking radio waves.

Also, his activity is connected somehow to the position of stars.

And Cthulhu, even sleeping, is influencing living beings minds.

So, let's say - real Cthulhu is still on Xoth. Dragon-octopus being in the R'lyeh is just his avatar/drone controlled by radio waves.

Culmination of two negative factors - R'lyeh succumbed under the salt water and position of Earth and Xoth is temporary inappropriate (maybe there is some nebula between them or something for now) made avatar unable to receive signals Xoth, that's why it became dormant. However, even without commands it is still performs the default task - sending signals to real Cthulhu. They are too weak to actually reach Xoth, but still strong enough to non-intentionally influencing brains of Earth beings, like Deep Ones or humans, giving them visions which makes them think that Cthulhu is deity demanding worship... or just headaches and bad dreams.

"Oficjalnie niniejszy materiał to jedynie mroczny eksperyment myślowy. Zderzamy w nim zjawiska niewyjaśnione, tajemnice historii oraz naukowe anomalie z literacką fikcją. Teoretycznie sprawdzamy, jak kosmiczny horror i Mity Cthulhu z tekstów Lovecrafta wyglądałyby, gdyby nagle okazały się naszą rzeczywistością. Pytanie tylko... czy na pewno musimy to sobie jedynie wyobrażać?"
