Thank you Cape Codders

Thank you Cape Codders

My daughter (12) saved up and bought herself a little Whaler. Two miles into towing it home, the trailer broke down in front of Bucatino Restaurant in Falmouth, blocking four of their parking spots and front door on a busy Saturday night.

The manager and especially the outside hostess were extremely nice, understanding, and helpful. Thank you.

We pushed the boat out of the way, parked, and enjoyed a great margarita pizza and chowder (and complimentary lemonade) while waiting for the tow truck.

A half dozen tow companies said, “No, we can’t help you.” But Buckler’s said yes and got a driver to us in about 40 minutes. Tristan was the driver and he was professional and calmed my daughter and got the boat and trailer home to our house safe and sound for a fair price. Thank you.

What is this called?

This mount bracket for the steering is sturdier than it looks, but it looks like screen door hardware.

Whaler Fiberglass Repair

Daughter is purchasing old Whaler ‘74. Deck has spiderweb cracks. Bottom of hull looks okay.

Any insights or advice about these cracks? Has anyone repaired or paid to have these repaired? What would the process and/or cost look like?
