Multiple Threats and the Scene Flow Cycle
Hi. I understand Legend in the Mist shares the same DNA as Otherscape, so figured the advice would be applicable.
Here's the issue: What to do with multiple threats? The way Scene Flow Cycle works seems to make it the problem of a single individual each time to address multiple threats with a single action. It's doable, but I think at some point it become a pretty big stretch to be passably successful in doing so.
The way I imagine a single Scene Flow Cycle is thus:
- Two PCs are fighting two monsters, the two monsters threaten to slash them
- Only one PC gets the Spotlight to deal with the threats, and somehow must figure out to address both threats. PC chooses to just hit one monster
- The other monster's threat goes unaddressed and thus brings consequences with the other PC completely unable to prevent the threat from going through
The more challenges you bring, the worse it somehow gets, regardless of the number of PCs present.
So I am convinced that I must be completely misunderstanding how the Scene Flow Cycle works and would really be grateful to be illuminated how it's supposed to work.
