StratCann article on why parents are still prevented from bringing their kids into dispensaries makes 3 solid points on the matter

Bit of a divergence from the standard posts on here but I was reading Cannabis news and thought there were 3 great points raised here:

  1. Parents who are looking after their kids and have them with them on daily errands cannot enter a pot shop with their kids because "we gotta protect the children!!!!" and when asked to elaborate, regulators talk about preventing kids from seeing any brands or cannabis products... even though their parents will purchase these products and unless they hide them like the cyclops in Harold and Kumar 2, the kid's gonna see that product/packaging at some point, and may even see their parent using, which is much more likely to make cannabis seem enticing to kids, compared to the fairly sterile, controlled, regulated environment of a pot shop. Plus, we've all seen the ads for brands like Spinach on social media, where they show the branding and even the products like dried flower or gummies. Kids are already seeing all of that shit online!

  2. Cannabis stores are the unique example when it comes to controlled substances: parents can have kids accompany them in liquor stores, pharmacies selling controlled substances, etc. but cannabis, arguably the least dangerous substance in comparison to alcohol and most controlled pharmaceuticals, with the least potential for harmful abuse, gets treated like it's the most dangerous of them all! Makes no sense at all

  3. Quoting the article here: "as soon as purchasing a product becomes taboo, it is more enticing to older kids. “[It says] why are you hiding this? Why can’t I come into the store with you?,” she said. “When you bring your kids with you, it becomes much less exciting. We do our kids a disservice by sneaking around.” I think there's something to that.

What do you all think?

Who remembers the audio guy that was fired after ~6 months of working for them?

They had some ridiculous name for him (Xandalar Cryptodouchious?), fired him after less than a year of service, and then talked a TON of shit about him on the show, including an accusation of inappropriate comments he made towards Taylor (where have we heard that line before?)

Notorious Lolcow live-streamer LowTierGod has been ordered by court to pay $1700/month in child support payments, up until the day his daughter turns 18

LTG is a deadbeat dad, a complete bum who has denied his daughter even existing for a long time but at least now, she will receive some support.

Phoebe is now teasing that she's making hit pieces on those who have exposed TJ and Paul

She's been posting in other subs about it, can't find the comment right now, she may have deleted it. But she's apparently going around, saying she's gearing up to slander Kid Wizard, likely Marshal Manson as well, possibly others. Hilarious and sad

I hope to see more content in this sub soon...

There's not really that much to talk about because the fat boys try to keep things under wraps, but I hope this sub sticks around and gets more traction. I consider it a sister-sub to r/DystopianSouls

Phoebe the Ogre is still harassing people in DMs, YouTube comments, and live chats

This fat useless cunt has the nerve to continue to harass people for having the audacity to criticize Paul and TJ. She has fused her useless brain to the cult wagon that is DFF and does whatever her masters ask of her. Absolutely pathetic, but what else can you expect from a dumb white trash pick-me bitch who sleeps in Walmart parking lots, asks Reddit for legal advice, and uses herself as unwashed rage/clickbait for transphobes and chuds on YouTube in exchange for $2.49 in ad revenue

Why did deadmau5 sell his back catalog of music? What was the point when he (AFAIK) still got royalties, licensing money, and got paid from shows?

I am but a common moron, so maybe I'm missing something here, but I am genuinely curious. Apologies also if this has been asked before but I didn't hear about this stuff until a few weeks ago.

Why did he sell the rights to all (or most) of his music to some company? I've been a huge fan for a long time and it just feels... weird. It creeps into the back of my mind when I listen to his music and kinda sits there uncomfortably. I don't like that it does, but it does. Obviously it's his music to do what he wants with, but I don't get why he wanted this.

Paired with the fact that, to my best knowledge, he doesn't really mix when he performs, and it kind of seems like a chore for him to even do it at this point (Yeah I get it, he's been doing this for like 20 years, it's probably boring now). He still performs though, so it's not like the money from selling his back catalog was a cushion to insulate him from any lost income from stopping doing shows (for now at least?) because he's still doing shows. I don't mean to pocket watch the guy, I just want to understand on a deeper level why he made these choices. Did he need the 50 something milly for a big new project?

Does anyone have some interview clips where he elaborates on this stuff? I can only find irrelevant clips and clickbait when I search (thanks Google!). Don't mean to sound like a hater, I just don't understand the method here. Thanks

EDIT: Wait, he sold his label as well? God damn

What are your top 3 terpenes and why?

Limonene, Linalool, and Terpinolene are my top terps, mostly for the smell/flavors, and I'm never disappointed when buying based on these terps. What are your top 3 and why?

Why are there so many people posting here that refuse to buy or entertain legal weed? What are you here for?

This is the subreddit for OCS products, so if you are one of the clowns who insists on posting in every thread about how trash OCS products are, why are you even here? genuinely, why are you posting here if every thing you say boils down to "Legal weed is so shitty dude, black market is so much better etc etc"

Okay then maybe fuck off? You don't post reviews, you don't fuck with OCS products, your input is useless and shits up this board. All you post here is shit-talking and negativity, you don't contribute anything of value, so why are you here if you hate all OCS products and just talk shit from the peanut gallery? Maybe go post in r/trees

Do you think it's fair to compare a 'normal' store's prices to another store that is selling customer data, taking promotional deals, selling shelf space, etc.

Maybe a contrived hypothetical, but if a store - compared to a 'normal' store that does none of the following schemes - is getting you a lower price by essentially doing every anti-consumer practice imaginable, is it worth it to save a few dollars?

TJ's friendship with Shadman (artist who drew tons of cartoon CSAM)

I feel like there's a lot of hidden information here, might never come to light but I want to tug at this string. Did TJ ever commission degen materials from shadman? I would think probably so.
