Replaced my 13 pro max with a 17PM

So, a few weeks back, I accidentally broke my front display. Even though the phone was still working, it kept stuttering and the charging port was super worn out, so I was really depending on MagSafe to charge it.

The battery was severely depleted, lasting only five hours on a single charge, leaving only 74% of its original capacity. Replacing the battery, screen, and charging port would’ve cost me more than getting a second hand 13pm.Besides, I’m not getting aftermarket replacement parts because I bricked my iPhone XR doing that 7 years ago.

So, I decided to bite the bullet and get a 17 PM. I still love my old phone and will definitely keep using it, but I reckon five years is a good time to think about getting a new one.

Shattered my front display

Dropped my phone face first onto the sidewalk and shattered my front display even though I had a screen protector, the screen is still fully functional but the cosmetic damage makes watching content really jarring.

Should I just spend the $350 to replace my screen or should I just upgrade to the 17 pro max?
It’s also worth noting that I’ve worn out the phone’s charging port so plugging in a cable barely gets the phone to charge so I’ve just switched to MagSafe.

I’ve had my phone since launch with 75% battery health, I really like my phone and never intended to upgrade despite the lag, poor battery performance and hangups with ios26 but the cracked screen and worn out charging port make the phone unusable.

Should I get the screen and battery replaced or should I just bite the bullet and get the 17 pro max even though it has a crappier aluminum frame compared to my gold stainless steel?
