Mommas are you guys letting your 17 year old sons go out with their friends without knowing them. I have let my son go out with his friends, but only if I know who they are and who the family is. My son started a part time job right now over the summer at parks and rec. His co-workers invited him to go to Malibu Beach, but I don't feel comfortable letting him go because I don't know who they are, and to be frank, I just don't let my son go anywhere if there's not an adult present. My son has always done good and run everything through me and ask for permission. Should I be allowing him at the age of 17 to go out with his teenage friends.
I have taken 11 classes at nationally all of the sudden I'm not able to take classes because my financial aid package has not gone through. I asked approximately how long it will take, they said it would take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks right now. I have not been able to take my August class I'm guessing a probably will not be able to take September's class. They told me I need to do a leave of absence for my Credential classes. Is there a direct number to financial aid or do we always have to go through our adviser, which my advisor seems totally lost on anything of financial aid. She got annoyed with me asking her questions. At the end, she hangs up without saying goodbye. Is there a direct phone number for financial aid? Also there is no financial aid overview that I can see on my page or be able to see all of my previous classes 😤 Phone number for financial aid anyone???
National can you please contact me!! I am missing my August class it is not showing in my portal. I have tried to get in contact with an advisor and they have not been able to help me. Please someone contact me, I do not want to go the month of August without taking a class, I feel like I'm wasting time. What do I do next. Seems like so many people are having the same problem😤
Quick question for LAUSD Paras working ESY 26.....
What hours is everyone being paid for this summer?
A few years ago we were paid for 4.5 hours, and for the last two years we were paid for 5 hours during ESY. This year (ESY 2026), my school's administration told us we're only being paid for 4 hours.
Is this happening district-wide, or is it just at my school?
If this is a district-wide change, has anyone heard an explanation from LAUSD or our union? I understand there are budget cuts, but it would be nice to know why our hours were reduced. I haven't seen any communication explaining the change, and I think employees deserve to know the reason.
Has anyone else received more information?
If you are thinking of attending National University, this is not a good time for you to join. Do not sign up lots of complications with their system right now, several people are missing, their financial aid and advisors are having a difficult time scheduling classes to the students, the advisors don't even know what they are doing at this point.
