My otocinclus is hidng

Hello everyone,
I’m a new fish owner and I have five otocinclus and my tank is decently planted. I know it isn’t recommended to have otocinclus as a new fish owner. I however, have repashy and algae wafers. They eat and are grazing. However, I am having a problem, for the past week one of my otocinclus has been hiding. Due to the plants and ceramic hides and driftwood, I can never find him. I can always find all four in a corner together or laying on a plant, but one is nowhere to be found. He used to hide behind a ceramic hide, and the other day he was inside one. What does that mean? Could that mean that I am doing something wrong, is he sick? Could they have ammonia poisoning? Could someone give me a little advice please.

Does my betta look okay?

I need a little help. I was wondering if my fish seems okay. I attached a video, but I’ve noticed the past couple days when she swims, she’ll jerk or struggle a little to swim. I didn’t really get it in the video attached, but it seems like she’s struggling. I was wondering if she’s just playing or if it’s an indication that my filter and air bubbler is too strong. Or there could be something wrong. I also noticed that my other fish are hiding more. I was wondering if it could be the parameters that are a problem. Any advice would help, I am a beginner fish owner and would love some help.

I do weekly changes depending on the ammonia in my tank:
Ph: 6.0 (any help on how to stabilize or raise this, my crush coral isn’t working)
Ammonia: .5ppm (i did a water change already today)
Nitrate: .5ppm
Nitrite: 0 ppm
Gh: 14
Kh:5

What kind of snails are these?

My coworker has a plant in the office and I noticed that he had small specks in his vase. I then noticed when I took a closer look that they are snails. I didn’t get a really good picture because they are kind of small. What kind are these?

Went on vacation what do i do?

Hello,

I have a betta fish, 5 otocinclus and two snails in a 10 gallon tank. I’ve had them for over a month, I am a new tank owner and beginner fish keeper. I am gone for four days and left yesterday, I won’t be back until Thursday. I have an automatic feeder for my betta, I left a small bit of repashy and nori. To make sure all my pets ate.

This morning while on vacation, I noticed both my aquarium cameras were out. My power went out due to a storm, and when it came back on my outside tank showed that my automatic light reset and the lights were off and I can’t see my thermometer. My room gets moderately hot, but I left my window open but I can’t tell the temperature. I’ve seen my betta and one otocinclus but I can’t see my whole tank.

What should I do when I get back? Do you think they will die? Will my plants be okay?

Is my netrite snail look like this?

Hello,
I am a new fish owner. I got my snails from petsmart. I’ve had them for a little over a month now. I have recently started doing my research on Reddit forums to further my research.

This morning I noticed that my netrite snail shell looks a little weird. I have two and they both look fairly the same, one is just smaller than the other.

My parameters are decent. The last time i checked my
gph was 13
3 kh
6.6ppm ph
0 ppm ammonia
0 ppm nitrite
And 5.0 ppm nitrate

I wanted to know if he’s supposed to look like this or if my snail is severely sick.

How to get my betta to stop eating otocinclus food

Hello,
I am a beginner fish keeper. I would like to know how to get my fish to stop eating algae wafer/ algae supplement food for my otocinclus and snails.
I am aware that she is not supposed to eat it because she can not properly digest it and she can get very sick.
I have tried everything, I tried feeding with the lights off, which is what you’re supposed to do, feeding her before hand and she still nips at the food. I have recently started using repashy, because my otocinclus weren’t eating the algae wafers.
My snails and otocinclus are slow to eat so i am not sure if I should keep it in for 90 seconds or keep it in over night, but she eats it first. I don’t want my other tank mates to starve but i have no Idea how to get her to stop eating it.

All my fish have been fine, but today i noticed fish is in the corner by himself. I tried to touch him and he didn’t move. what should i do? I feed them algae wafers, i got them a new food the fluval bottom feeder bits and they graze. Everyone else is doing fine but that one. Could he be sleep? I don’t want to panic but it seems like something is wrong.

Tank advice

I need a little help with my tank. I am a beginner so I am open to criticism. I would like some advice on my plants and what I should add or have. The substrate and sand i used mixed when i added water so it looks a little weird. I’ve done research, but it wasn’t quite helpful. I have 1 betta fish, 5 otocinclus and 2 nerite snails. I have 1 java fern and it’s not looking too good, 3 amazon swords, 2 anubias and silk plants, driftwood with silk plants, floaters as well, but i don’t think I’m taking care of them right. I feel like my plants are melting, even though all the parameters and the temperature in my tank are stable. I have added flourish but what should i do to help them thrive? I want to add a banana plant and java moss

Is my betta fish okay?

I am a new fish owner so I am relatively new to how a fish is supposed to look. Today, i noticed that she has a white spot on her underside between her two fins. It is relatively small, but she has tank mates so I don’t want them all getting sick. She’s moving around, eating and all. She has been sneaking algae wafers and I can’t get her to stop. I also did a water change yesterday, but I am concerned.
