i20 Sportz IVT 2026 — Very Poor Headlight Throw. What Are My Options?

Recently bought an i20 Sportz IVT and took it on the highway for the first time. I was honestly quite disappointed with the headlights. the throw is very poor, and at night I could barely see the road properly with people blinding me from opposite.

For those who may not know, the Sportz trim comes with a halogen headlight setup, and the current-gen i20 also doesn't seem to have a provision for fog lamps.

I got a feedback call from the showroom and mentioned this issue. They basically said, “That's how it comes.” When I asked about improving the setup, they suggested installing an HID kit, genuine Hyundai accessory costing around ₹10k.

I've also seen people online recommending OSRAM 50W 4200K LED bulbs.

My main concern is the reflector housing. Since it's designed for halogen bulbs, would installing an LED bulb cause scattering/glare or a poor beam pattern? I don't want to blind oncoming traffic or end up with a fancy looking but actually worse setup.

I'm looking for a simple and practical solution, not anything expensive.

For those who have an i20 Sportz or a similar halogen reflector setup:

What bulb/upgrade are you using?

Is the OSRAM 50W 4200K LED a good option?

Has anyone tried the Hyundai HID kit?

Would a better halogen bulb be a safer/better option than LED in this reflector housing?

Would really appreciate suggestions from people who have actually upgraded their i20 headlights.

Baleno delivery delayed by over 40 days – what should I do?

I booked a Baleno Alpha AGS (Nexa Blue) from Bimal Auto, Marathahalli, Bengaluru on June 8. At the time of booking, I was promised delivery by June 29.

The frustrating part is that I was never proactively informed about any delay. I had to keep following up myself on June 15, 17, 22, and June 28 just to get updates.

Only then was I told that production had been affected due to a June shutdown and that delivery would be pushed to mid July. I requested them to deliver it by July 10–15 if possible, but they later revised the expected delivery date to July 20.

Since then, I've been following up regularly, hoping to get the car sooner. Now they've told me that my vehicle hasn't even been dispatched from the factory. Instead, they've offered me a white Baleno that's available immediately. I refused because I've already waited more than 40 days, and I don't think I should have to compromise on my preferred colour because Maruti and the dealership couldn't deliver on time.

After escalating the issue, the showroom now says my car will be dispatched shortly from the factory and that it will take 12–14 days by road or 15–17 days by train after dispatch.

With this above timeline they are not even promising a new date, I anticipate this is going to another 20 days atleast.

At this point, I'm really disappointed with both Maruti and the dealership's communication and handling of the booking.

Has anyone faced a similar situation with Nexa or Maruti? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process, or should I keep waiting? Any advice would be appreciated
