I've been cutting my own hair for many years. I decided that the best way to avoid disaster is just to cut a curl or two at a time (and only when it was dry). My hair felt damaged/dry because it had been several months since I had made more than just the occasional cut. I broke my rule and cut it all at once and luckily I think it turned out okay. (Photos taken on second or third day after washing.)

Routine (see photo for products): Not Your Mother's Curl Talk Shampoo and Conditioner. Towel dry and comb through with widetooth comb. Scrunch in Boucleme Curl Creme. Air dry.

This guy gave it his all! He had pumped about five full sets before I was able to run and get my phone/camera, but he still tried 🦎💪💚

My fantastic crochet green anole that I ordered from Etsy arrived a couple of days ago. I love it! The yard anoles find it intriguing. It is so realistic that one male puffed out his dewlap right in front of it (too bad I did not get a pic of that one!)

My front curls actually curled today 🎉

They are usually much straighter.

I did my normal routine of Not Your Mother's Shampoo and Conditioner and Bouclème Curl Creme (see photo), comb through with wide-tooth comb, light towel dry, and light scrunching while applying curl cream. (I don't do anything at night - no special pillowcase, etc.)

The only thing I did differently was a cold water rinse before getting out of the shower 🤔

(I cut my own hair and now I can see in these photos that I have some curls that I need to trim! 😅)

I hope I'm not posting too much. It's exciting for me to find people who actually like looking at these anole pics and videos. I don't know anyone who likes anoles as much as me (before I came to r/Anoles)! 🙌 Anole lovers 🦎💚!

(This is an anole on our plant sculptures in Austin. Between the freezes and the 100+ degree days we were having a hard time finding plants that would survive in that spot. I'm so glad the anoles came back to utilize them!)
