Live music, kid friendly

My family and I love music of all kinds. My kids are learning music from guitar to piano to trumpet to electronic music production etc. I realized that I have not been getting them much live music exposure by professional/semi-professional performers. There's something about feeling the music in a live performance... I really miss it

Does anyone have any recommendations for places to bring kids for live music performances? Seattle has tons of stuff but I am looking for stuff in Tacoma or Pierce county.

(Also it would be great if I don't have to spend $100s on tickets. It would have been cool to go see some of the concerts at the Puyallup State Fair but the tickets were $$$)

Nature is Weird

This isn't the first time this has happened but I don't know why it happens. Both my Asian pear and my Liberty apple just blossomed for the second time this year. You can see the ripe fruit in the tree with the blossoms.

Just curious if anyone knows the reason the trees do this sometimes?

Autumn Olives berries are ripe!

My Autumn Olives (and lots of my other fruit) are ripe early this year. We have Ruby and Golden varieties. I'm a little sad that they are ripe so early because they are nice to look forward to in late September and early October when everything else is dying. But they are delicious so I'm not too sad while I'm eating them. 😁

Electronic Music Production

Anyone know of in person classes or a workshop space for learning about and practicing electronic music production, synthesizers, etc?

Thanks!

Scoliosis and EDS

My young teenager (EDS-H) just had a well child appointment and was telling the doctor all the pain she is has in her joints and back. The doctor said she wanted back X-rays because she didn't think her back looked straight and wants to check for scoliosis. I'm wondering how accurate a scoliosis diagnose would be for someone with EDS. Personally, I've been diagnosed with scoliosis several times with back X-rays but it wasn't really scoliosis because my back would just straighten itself back out again once my muscles would stop spasming and pulling my back out of alignment and, like magic, the "scoliosis" was gone. My mom has similar experiences. I guess I'm concerned that the doctor is going down the wrong track but at the same time, getting more X-rays isn't really a bad thing. I'm also a little miffed that she didn't seem to think my daughter's EDS diagnosis was relevant.

I'd like to hear about anyone's experience with scoliosis and EDS and how one affects the other- symptoms, treatments, etc. TIA!

Giant Red Huckleberry and native plant dreams

This is a massive red huckleberry bush at my parents' house. The top is several feet higher than my reach and the ground underneath is carpeted Pacific trailing blackberries. They have at least a dozen bushes like this along their wood line, as well as salmonberry and thimbleberry. I really want to make a native plant berry pie but so far the berries never last long enough (eaten by us once they are brought into the house). Just posting because I love red huckleberries. 😁

What favorite berries are everyone eating at the moment?
