First Milestone! +21oz!

First Milestone! +21oz!

Made it to(and past) my first target of 20oz yesterday! I also got four tubes for my Krugs, Buffaloes, USS Constitutions, and Aztec Calendar rounds! The next goal is filling either the Buffalo or Krug tube as they’re the easiest to get my hands on. For every tube filled, I’ll spring for a 5oz bar so after all tubes are filled I’ll have 80oz in rounds and 20oz in bars! I’ve heard that 5oz bars are not as desirable as 10oz bars. It that just bs or what’s the general consensus on that??

Roasted Sauce With Reapers from Ed Himself!

Went to the PDX Expo this weekend and was honored to meet, talk to, and taste with the man himself! Afterwards he gave me a few Reapers so I roasted them with some habaneros and aromatics and made a nice toasty spicy sauce. Anyone here go to the PDX event? That Pepper X Tar was INSANE. I’ll post the recipe and results in the comments🤘🏽🔥

Post PDX Expo!

Made some roasted Reaper/Habanero Sauce with Reapers I got from the Pucker Butt tent! Ed was nice enough to sign a bottle of Xperience for me, too! I took my friend who hadn’t had anything hotter than a habanero sauce before and he had a blast. Gahddamm that Tar was HOT!!

Stacking for 4 months!

Damn near 20oz and a nice Peruvian coin in honor of my mom’s side of the family! Been buying responsibly every payday and have worked out a solid plan for the next year to hopefully reach 100oz. The designs I’ll be focusing on to stack a tube of each are:
Buffaloes (cuz you have to)
Krugerands (I hear they’re some of the most liquid and recognized, also I like the antelope)
USS Constitutions (I like ship)
Aztec Calendar (I mean come on, just look at the reverse)

4 tubes of coins/rounds then the rest in 5 and 10oz bars is the goal.

Honestly, stacking has been the biggest inspiration in setting money aside with a plan and habitually saving that I have ever had in my life. I’m not just investing in PMs, I’m also consistently putting money in my savings aiming for the 3-4 month emergency fund. Once that is all done, I’ll start adding to my personal Roth. I feel like I have a ways to go in terms of making up for my wildly irresponsible 20s, but having progress that you can sit in front of you is awesome and very motivating.

Completely unrelated, I can’t wait to buy my boat and start taking it out next year…

First Silver Buy Online

Went for SD’s “Random Design” Deal of the week for one of my buys during this sub-60 range we’re in. This was my first online silver purchase and tbh I’m not sure if I like ordering silver online?? On a personal level, I’m very much an instant gratification kind of guy so waiting for my silver to arrive four days after purchase was equivalent to medieval torture. Plus, the whole reason I wanted to buy was for the deal they had on the spread but paying for shipping completely covered that. The only thing I see in the “pro” column is the convenience. My car was about to shit out, so I sold it and my preferred LCS would be a hell of a transit ride. Are there any other positives I’m not seeing about ordering online? In theory I like the idea of buying gold online seeing as there’s not always fractionals in my price range at the LCS, but for silver I’m not seeing the point.
*also I really don’t like that they included their own round in the mix, I’m not a fan of the design. But that’s what I get for going the cheaper route to not choose*
