Public Mobile Promoting Koodo

For a few months now, every time I open the Public Mobile app, there are multiple prompts to check out Koodo post-paid service.

Okay, fine, I check it out, and the offers are always worse than my current plan. So whatever, not interested.

But this has me wondering if they’re trying to get rid of Public Mobile. Are Koodo customers getting offers to switch to Public Mobile, or is this only going one-way?

I’m happy with Public Mobile. Why would they encourage me to look into switching? If I was doing that I’d be looking at all options, including other carriers. Seems to me it would make more sense to just leave me alone and keep taking my money, instead of putting ideas in my head about switching.

The only way it makes sense to me is if they want people off Public Mobile.

Having two recording level controls is bothering me.

I’ve always had cassette decks with one knob to control the recording level.

Now I just got my first deck that has separate knobs for left and right. It’s making me crazy.

Should I set the recording level for one channel, and then just match the other knob to the same position?

Or should I adjust both independently to achieve about the same level for each channel? The problem with that is if one channel isn’t as loud on the source, then I’d be changing it so both are the same.

This is something I’ve never had to think about before. What do people usually do?
