Ripening fruit quickly at home.

So, in my research I read that cherimoya and custard apples produce the most ethylene. I’m using my custard apple to ripen pears in a paper bag, after that I will try persimmons. Though I find that the paper bags a tad impractical with the larger quantities I need ripening and getting in and out of the bag, they tear and and need to be sealed, currently using metal clips. Maybe less annoying when I get more knowledgeable on how long these things take, after all aspects considered and will not be opening the bags too soon.

Anyone tried any other set up for quickly ripening larger quantities of fruit? Perhaps a large clear plastic containers with see through lid and tiny puncture hole to prevent moisture buildup? I haven’t yet decided to put holes in my larger plastic tubs.

Food combining - why does lettuce combine well with sweet fruits, while other high water, low sugar fruits do not?

Why lettuce combine ok with bananas, but oranges don’t?

Water fasting for healing. 3rd long fast, 19 days in, will stop when the healing is complete, (or my body needs food)

Just wanted to share how powerful water fasting can be in allowing the body to heal. I see on reddit a lot about weight loss, but not much about healing and detox.

I’m currently 19 days down and the body is healing old injuries.

Injuries from running a year ago, which had been symptom free for about 10 months have come back. This is signs the body is healing. Doing the healing the body wasn’t able to do because it was too busy digesting food. Symptoms came back around day 11. Coinciding with ketosis fully ramped.

Following Loren Lockmans protocols as best I can (apart from the experienced supervision). I do have someone with me who is medically trained who has multiple long fasts, the first one with Loren.

Doing long fasts without experienced supervision can be dangerous.

Peace

I bought a red Dacca plant and I don’t have anywhere to plant it.

I was going to plant it at my folks, but then realised after I ordered that they don’t have the room for it and will steal the shade of their veggies.

How long can I keep the Dacca in a pot, replanting into a bigger pots? Of course this won’t work for too long, but hoping I can give myself some time to find a permanent solution. Are there any considerations specific to repotting banana plant?

Any advice is much appreciated as I’m new to all this. Thanks.

Cashew tastier in Bali?

Cashews are grown in Bali, apparently. Are they noticeably tastier than those found at the supermarket in western nations where they cashews are not grown?

Bulk Spring Water

I’m holidaying in Ubud for 2 weeks in July escaping Australian winter. We are water snobs and drink lots of it. So was looking to get something like a 15L and dispenser in our villa.

Which brand is best?
