I fell short today. Being honest and taking accountability!

I made a post yesterday about craving lentils and regrettably I gave in and ordered an Ethiopian veggie platter with lentils, chickpea stew, collard greens, green beans, split green peas, potatoes, cabbage, injera. All cooked! I ordered around 2:30pm this afternoon and it is now 11pm at night. After the meal I immediately fell asleep for 3 hours straight. I never sleep during the day! I’m heavy, gassy, brain fog, dry skin, blocked bowels, and just overall disoriented. I feel like I took a weed edible.

I will be fasting the next couple days to reset. And going on mostly fruit when I return to eating. I realize I have a salt addiction and will be reducing my salt intake significantly. Also cutting out almonds, cashews, and nutritional yeast. These are not raw. Walnuts, macadamia nuts, and pistachios can all be consumed safely raw. I have been addicted to the salty, creamy dressings I make for my salads and I know it’s unhealthy and not good for me.

This is an accountability post and I know I may receive criticism and backlash. As mortal Human beings, none of us are perfect and we all fall short at times! Maybe my story today will help others from making poor decisions by giving into food addiction cravings. God Bless You!

Edit: The next morning and I am also dealing with mucus buildup from the cooked food.

Made a big pot of minestrone for the week and saved every scrap for stock

Chopped everything fresh. Four containers of soup and a pile of scraps ready for the next batch of stock. Under $15 for the whole pot. Recipe in the comments.

Anyone else do this with their scraps? Curious if you use them for anything else besides stock.

Why am I craving lentils? I’m raw.

I’ve been craving lentils for some strange reason. Not sure if it’s food addiction or a deficiency of some sort. Should I give in? What are the drawbacks?

Trying out raw corn

I usually do just fruits and greens, but went to buy fruits and wholesaler offered 15kg crate of very fresh and sweet white & yellow corn for just 40$ so I figured itll be interesting.

these Soups were fat free, just corn n veggies, I usually monomeal my veg, but trying out diversity for the whole "gut microbiome" thing

The green one was one of the best meals i had this year - 7 corns, 8 whitebutton mushrooms, 3 zuchinis-lot of brocoli microgreens, lemon juice and black pepper. Zucchini spiralized, everything else blended.

I also had another dinner of just raw dogging 15 white corn cobs, was so good

Recipes

Can someone give me simple but satiating recipes without dehydraters? Maybe something like zoodles with a high calorie sauce or something like that

Weight loss

Hi, i am currently new to fruit based diet thanks to the idea of arnold ehret mucusless diet. People always say „oh its normal you lose weight then gain back” so i am looking for testimonals(hopefully here) that can describe how this whole process looked like for you. How much did you weight before diet, how much did you lose, what was the lowest weight you were during transition, after what time you started gaining weight back and how long did it take etc etc.. Also problems like sensivity teeth, how long did it last for you, when did it disappear etc etc. Also i feel like there is a lot of gas accumulating in my splenic flexure that is unpleasant (water, gas idk) that i also wonder how long did it last for you, when did it disappear and so on. A very well detailed transition journey if possible :D I hope you get my point

Sauerkraut

My first time making sauerkraut! I had 1/2 a cabbage left over and added 2 grated carrots. I don't have weights so I used 2 leaves. 574 grams and 12 grams Himalayan pink salt. I'm so excited!
