Che siano treni o pullman. Sono io che faccio parte di una ristretta minoranza troppo educata e sensibile in un mondo in cui l'egocentrismo è la norma, oppure sono loro gli incivili menefreghisti? Il fenomeno colpisce un po' tutti: giovani, anziani, italiani, stranieri. Si disinteressano completamente di chi si siedere lì dopo di loro e poggiano comodamente i piedi, senza scarpe se sono leggermente più civili, con tutte le scarpe zozze se sono proprio animali umani.

Non mi sembra di avere uno stile di vita dissoluto, eppure affogo nonostante guadagni più di 2000€ al mese. Giuro, siamo in due e non riusciamo a risparmiare un centesimo, anzi, sono anni che il numero sul conto si abbassa ogni mese. Dopo il covid sono impazziti tutti, l'altro giorno ad esempio stavo cercando una lavatrice economica e i modelli base costavano 250€, 300€ con montaggio. Ricordo benissimo di non aver speso più di 200€ per una lavatrice nel 2023. Con una qualsiasi uscita fuori saltano almeno 50€. Non ti puoi azzardare a prendere il treno che per un viaggetto di 3 ore saltano 200€ in due. Boh, sono nella classe media e mi sento con l'acqua alla gola come se fossi un disoccupato.

Esistono ambienti lavorativi dove i colleghi non buttano fango, seminano zizzania, parlano alle spalle e si odiano a vicenda tutto il cazzo di giorno? Lavoro in un ufficio caratterizzato da scarsa mobilità, questo fa sì che queste dinamiche si incancreniscano e si amplifichino a dismisura, alimentate dal fatto che sostanzialmente tutti odiamo questo lavoro statico.
Porca troia sono circondato da boomer del cazzo infantili che creano fazioni come alle scuole elementari, non si parlano da un corridoio all'altro per screzi successi 10 anni fa. Ma crescete che avete 60 anni, bambini del cazzo.
Vi prego, non può essere ovunque così, ditemi che esistono ambienti di lavoro illuminati e pacifici.

So there’s a RADNET challenge in Prototype 2 that tracks how much military damage you caused during gameplay, but the game never specifies how many USD it assigns to each military asset. So I calculated it myself:

The game does NOT count: killed soldiers, transport trucks, Humvees and Whitelight tanks.

I just finished the campaign and I’ll soon start another run to reach max level and platinum the game.
In ~20 hours of gameplay I caused around $15 billion in military damage, which works out to:
$750 million per hour
$12 million per minute
That’s basically an APC getting vaporized every minute 😂

The Purge
After consuming Mercer, James Heller and Dana Mercer break their silence. They release classified files exposing decades of atrocities committed by Gentek and Blackwatch. Global public opinion erupts: streets fill with protesters who label the two organizations as the “Nazis of the 21st century.” Under unbearable pressure, the United States government declares Gentek and Blackwatch illegal. Massive trials begin: scientists and officers are sentenced to death, while samples of the Blacklight virus are systematically tracked down and incinerated.
The Civil War
However, an extremist faction of Blackwatch refuses to surrender. Backed into a corner, they openly rebel, igniting a bloody civil war. Key strategic locations become battlegrounds of fratricidal conflict between the National Guard (loyal to the government) and the rogue Blackwatch:
The Pentagon (Virginia): Besieged by the National Guard while Blackwatch fortifies itself within the five rings, turning them into a biological death zone.
East HQ (New York): The last pocket of urban resistance at the heart of the original outbreak.
West HQ (Los Angeles): A brutal guerrilla war among hills and coastal command centers.
Norfolk Naval Station (Virginia): Naval battles to prevent Blackwatch from escaping with virus-laden aircraft carriers.
Amid this chaos, the surviving Evolved emerge. Acting as unpredictable wildcards, they sometimes command terrified Blackwatch troops who serve them only to survive, while at other times they attack both sides in a delirium of omnipotence.
The Last Stand: F.E. Warren AFB
Heller, acting as the armed hand of the regular army, systematically crushes every rebel cell. The final showdown takes place at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming. The last Evolved, aware of their defeat, attempt a final nihilistic act: launching nuclear warheads at American metropolises.
The battle is a massacre; human losses are immense, but Heller manages to exterminate his own kind. Only one missile manages to launch: Heller takes flight, clings to the ascending warhead, and sabotages its circuits, causing it to crash harmlessly into the Pacific Ocean.
The Final Sacrifice
Heller comes to understand a bitter truth: as long as he exists, Mercer’s consciousness will live within him, and the Blacklight virus will never be eradicated. After a final farewell to Maya and Dana, Heller commandeers an experimental spacecraft (secretly developed by Gentek for colonization or high-altitude transport) and sets a course directly for the Sun.
Before departing, he performs one final act: he infects a consenting Dana Mercer with a controlled strain of his DNA. Dana will not become a monster, but a hidden paladin of humanity, endowed with longevity and latent powers to stand guard should any fragment of the virus ever re-emerge from the shadows of history.
Heller vanishes into the solar blaze, ending the era of hybrids and securing for his daughter a world finally free from the infection.
