Season 2 of Monogatari is the only blu ray release I was missing from this series. I had the singles already, but this has ended up in my Top 3 anime of all time and I absolutely adore the light novels, so I really wanted a complete collection.

I used to own the first two seasons of High School DxD, but I parted ways with them when I had to sell off most of my collection. I’m really excited to finally be able to watch season 3 and 4 after revisiting the first two seasons.

I’ve surprisingly never seen Akame Ga Kill, even though I love darker action anime and keep seeing it recommended. These premium sets hooked me with the book extras.

Interspecies Reviewers - I like steelbooks and figured the infamy around it made it quite collectible. Who knows, maybe I’ll even like it. 😅

I’m looking for the Hunter X Hunter DVD box sets of the original TV series. I have box set 2 already, so am particularly looking for 1, 3 and 4… but I would also be up for purchasing a full set of 4 if you prefer. I would be open to paying based on historical sales value.

I can’t get over how beautiful this show is. It’s no surprise the limited edition sets are too.

Fantastic character designs and a really compelling mystery. It’s a slow burn but one that’s always stuck with me.

I know this is going to be a tough one to track down, but is anyone looking to part with their Katanagatari? I used to have both premium edition volumes but sold them out of financial necessity. Now I’m really, REALLY hoping to replace the hole in my collection. I love everything NISIOISIN.

Almost all of these were between $7 and $11 USD each. Golden Kamuy is a personal grail, so I didn’t mind paying more ($150). The Rascal Dreaming movie was $20, but the real cost will be buying the rest of the series now… 😬

EDIT IN RESPONSE TO THE GATEKEEPING REPLIES:
I am not being secretive about the local stores to gate-keep, I don’t like publishing my location online. My city barely has any anime available locally, new or used.

This was a lucky break when a local collector decided to sell off some of his stuff. In talking to the staff at the local stores, they said he did this once 2 years ago and decided it was time again now. So all of these came from one collector who sold off some of his collection at second hand shops around town. It is very likely this won’t happen again here for a long time.

Scored a few gems on the cheap this go ‘round, as I think BlazBlue and King’s Game are harder to come by. I also heard King’s Game is one of the worst anime ever made, so I’m super excited to see how much of a train wreck it actually is.

I know nothing about Release the Spyce beyond “cute ninjas do things on drugs”. Frame Arms Girl reminds me of Angelic Layer and Gundam Build Fighters, both of which I love, so I’m looking forward to it. And I’ve heard Mysteria Friends is beautiful.

I’m curious what everyone else thinks about these shows.

I am so excited to get my hands on the Devilman Crybaby North American release. Also, the Lazarus and Vampire Hunter D imports with English dubs included (I think… I hope…).

SAO is finally up to date in my collection. And my Blue Exorcist is almost there too, I’m just waiting on the season 2 I finally managed to piece together.

Really excited about the Metropolis steelbook and the Time of EVE deluxe edition. The haul was about $55 USD. Not the best, but those two special editions made it worthwhile… and I’ve never seen Patema Inverted but it’s by the same director as Time of EVE so I’m expecting good things.

Tears to Tiara, Dark Gathering, Strongest Exorcist, and Vermeil in Gold are all new and sealed. The rest are in mint condition with everything included. How did I do at $500 USD / $700 CAD? Did I do alright?

This was one of the first anime I ever owned on DVD. Happy to have the blu ray and the huge archive book that Udon published here.

I have all of blue exorcist except for part two of the Kyoto saga (season 2). I am looking to buy part 2 or would even re-buy part one if you are only looking to sell a pair. DVD or Blu-ray are both welcome.

This is one of my favorite items in my collection. I had an original purchase of one of these way back when, but sadly had to part with it when I sold off much of my collection for financial reasons.

I replaced it several years ago but the set I got had a relatively beat up chipboard box and a harder to see signature. So I was so excited to come across another set with a much nicer box and a darker ink for the signature and limited number.

This is a great 90s anime. Very typical of the time but I also found that it is uniquely effective at some emotional depth beyond the harem/action/comedy stuff.

I’ve been actively on the lookout for Undead Unluck and My Dress-up Darling, so I was super pumped to find them really cheap at a secondhand shop. Carole & Tuesday wasn’t on my radar, but when I looked it up and saw it takes place in the same universe as Cowboy Bebop etc, I snagged it without a second thought.

I love it when the second hand shopping luck strikes!

This is the last set I’m missing for my SAO collection. I’m willing to pay secondary market value based on recent sales. I live in Canada, so you’d have to be willing to ship there (at my expense). Thanks for considering!

I used to have the Bandai limited edition sets and I always regretted letting them go. I’m excited to dive back into this series and revisit all it has to offer.

I really, really enjoyed the entire experience this game provided. The writing, music, voice acting and visuals were all outstanding. The mini games were a blast (except for those *#%!ing fireworks) and the story has a super satisfying conclusion.

As someone who was a high schooler during the decade portrayed, the way Mixtape hit home just blew my mind.

Now I’m going to put my hand on ice after the one trophy that it seems most everyone has a hard time with.

I really love this limited edition. There’s so much to the hardcover guidebook, the theme of the whole package is on point and the replica axe is wicked. I wish there were more LEs made like this. Frieren is the only one I can think of in recent history that came close (and surpassed) this kind of set.

I totally see why The Eminence In Shadow is a bit divisive. Once I understood the premise and its running gag, however, I fell for the unique brand of comedy and all the heavy handed, over-the-top edginess. It’s become an all-time favorite guilty pleasure comfort food.

Plus, the LE Blu Ray box sets and hardcover light novels are so pretty. If you’re wondering why I have two of the manga volume 1, it’s because I’ve been learning French so I started buying second hand copies of manga and light novels in French as extra practice.

If you haven’t seen this series yet and want to give it a go, I’d suggest doing a bit of reading first to understand the approach as a parody, because I didn’t find the anime series to do a good job of making that clear. It may not be for everyone, but I’m glad I gave it a go as it really hooked me.
