Does anyone else's inbox look like this:(

It goes way down. I've had the app for a while, and I just feel like I talk to people for a bit, then they kind of dip off. I don't know if that's normal or if I'm just really bad at making friends😭

Trying to find some age appropriate horror for my 13 year old sister

Hi guys! My baby sister has always been one for the macabre, and is consuming horror books like no ones business right now-but none of them are scary enough for her.I snuck her a copy of The Shining for her birthday, and she called it "lame, boring, and not scary".

  1. So disrespectful

2.) I put my life on the line to hide that from my mama. 3.) I read it at around 13 and it freaked me out so bad lol

Anyways, she's read and watched a whole lot worse than books written for 13 year olds. So I'm looking for young adult, but still scary. Thanks in advance :)

Father in law making me uncomfortable

So my FIL has been staying with my husband and me for the last few days to help get our house ready to sell. I really am grateful for the help because it's a huge project, but he's been doing little things that have been making me so uncomfortable.

He's always been pretty misogynistic, which I've usually just rolled my eyes at, but the timing couldn't be worse. I've been dealing with some pretty serious health issues and have a major surgery next week, so I'm in the middle of pre-op. I'm also temporarily off my blood thinners, and my doctors have been very clear that I need to take it easy.

Today he announced that while he was working outside, it was my job to make sure his cup never got close to empty. We're in the middle of a heatwave, and being outside is hard on me right now, so I asked my husband if he'd just text me whenever his dad needed more water. My husband basically went, "Absolutely not. He's a grown man. He can get his own water." A few hours later my FIL came inside and complained that he'd run out of water. I apologized, filled it back up, and moved on. Then later he was using a saw and yelled for me to come vacuum... while he was actively still cutting wood. So I stood there vacuuming for like 25 minutes while he continued making more sawdust. When my husband got home, he asked why I was even vacuuming, and my FIL laughed and said something like, "Isn't she silly? Vacuuming while I'm still working." It made me feel so stupid because... you told me to do it.

The hard part is that I know if I tell my husband everything, he'll absolutely stand up for me. He's already gotten onto his dad this visit for making little comments about how I don't clean enough or don't cook enough or am spoiled. But their relationship is already rocky, and despite everything, my husband loves his dad. He's sacrificed so much for me over the years that I don't want to be the reason things get even worse between them. At the same time, I'm honestly getting really tired of feeling like I'm expected to play maid while recovering from serious health issues. I know I'm probably not overreacting, but I also don't know if this is a battle worth picking or if I should just survive the next few days until he leaves:/
