Can I take a lint roller to remove these little white fuzzies, or will that pull up the string and ruin it?

Looking for suggestions if its not a great idea...

Why is my money tree starting to get this?

It's not the whole plant but a handful of leaves. It gets bright - mid indirect light and water maybe once a week or two. It starting getting mold so we cut back on the watering.
