Which Chiramune girl do you think is the most beautiful?

Which Chiramune girl do you think is the most beautiful?

There's always a lot of discussion about who the "best girl" is, but what about the MOST BEAUTIFUL one?In your opinion, which of the five girls fascinates you the most?

Personally, I think three of them are beautiful. The other two (I won't say which ones, lol) are just aesthetically bland. That said, Nanase and Asuka are tied for my #1 spot 😆

Saku Chitose already knows who the girl he loves is. The only reason he's putting off his decision is because he's afraid of upsetting the harmony within his group

Sometimes I get the impression that Chitose already knows who he's in love with. The reason he keeps putting off his decision is that he doesn't want to change the status quo of his friend group.

I say this because of certain lines and thoughts he's had throughout the light novel.

Does anyone else get the same impression?

YUZUKI REALLY IS THE BEST GIRL

I love how much she loves Saku and yet never hesitates to help the other girls (and Saku himself) with their feelings.

She did it in Volume 3 when she pushed Chitose toward Asuka; with Haru in Volume 4 and again in Volume 5 when they visited Chitose's house; and with Kureha in Volume 8.

At this point, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if she ends up helping Yua and Yuuko with their feelings for Chitose in the upcoming volumes as well. 😂

Man, it's such a shame that she happened to fall for someone in a harem series

If Nanase and Chitose had a theme song, it would without a doubt be Mirrors by Justin Timberlake

I was listening to Mirrors on my way home and realized how perfectly it describes the dynamic between Chitose and Yuzuki.

It's so identical that I started wondering whether Hiromu might have been inspired by this song when writing their relationship. Here's a small excerpt from the lyrics:

"Cause I don't wanna lose you now

I'm lookin' right at the other half of me

The vacancy that sat in my heart

Is a space that now you hold

Show me how to fight for now

And I'll tell you, baby, it was easy

Comin' back into you once I figured it out

You were right here all along

It's like you're my mirror

My mirror staring back at me

I couldn't get any bigger

With anyone else beside me

And now it's clear as this promise

That we're making two reflections into one

'Cause it's like you're my mirror

My mirror staring back at me

Staring back at me"

Seriously, if you're a fan of Yuzuki and Saku, you need to check out the lyrics, because from beginning to end, it's simply them.

After noticing that, I kind of fell even more in love with them as a pair. If they don't end up together, I'm genuinely going to be very upset. I love them so, so much 😭😭😭

Forget Nanase and Yuuko: Haru is the one who'll win Chitose's heart. Evidence (with minor spoilers) in the comments

A lot of people believe the play performed in Volume 9 is a preview of what will happen at the very end of Chiramune. Yuuko or Nanase? Who will ultimately win Chitose's heart?

But based on my (somewhat extensive) understanding of storytelling, I don't think Hiromu is amateurish enough to repeat the exact same setup in the finale.

The play already made it clear that, between Yuuko and Nanase, Chitose prefers Nanase. I know Yuuko will still get her spotlight, and she'll probably grow even closer to Chitose, but it's not particularly interesting for an author to repeat the same conflict. Even if Yuuko were to come out on top in the end, we'd essentially be revisiting a rivalry we've already experienced.

At this point, I think everyone has realized that Nanase is the strongest contender among the five girls. She'll probably remain that way until the very end. Even within the story itself, she's consistently treated as a dangerous rival. We repeatedly see the other girls feeling threatened by how close she is to Chitose.

With that in mind, I believe the final showdown will be between Nanase and Haru. What makes it compelling is that we're talking about a rivalry between best friends. It's dramatic, intense, and bittersweet regardless of who Chitose ultimately chooses.

And now we get to the core of my argument: Haru is the OBVIOUS winner of this competition. Volume 9 made that painfully clear to me.

FIRST POINT:

Chiramune is filled with metaphors and symbolism. Whenever the characters talk about the moon, a game, or even ordinary everyday things, trust me: it's never just about the moon, and it's never just a simple game. There's always something underneath.

Back in Volume 2, Nanase recalls the moment she met Haru during a basketball game:

"A girl named Haru Aomi was undoubtedly the star player [...] There were only ten seconds left. We were separated by a single point. I couldn't stop her from leaping into the air and making one final wild shot toward the basket."

When I first read that, I remember thinking, "Is this some kind of foreshadowing for the ending...?" Then I dismissed the idea because... well, lol. Surely not.

But then I read Volume 9.

During the three-legged race, Haru opens up to Chitose about her feelings of inferiority and helplessness when it comes to Nanase. Chitose encourages her and says:

"Let's WIN this battle. Aren't you going to SURPASS your rival?"

And Haru specifically points this out herself:

"He didn't say chase after her or keep up with her. He said SURPASS."

This would be one thing if Chiramune were a literal story, but we all know they're not just talking about the race.

When Haru overtook her rival and won alongside Chitose, I immediately felt like I knew who the final winner would be. What makes it worse is that Haru herself says:

"We won, even if it was by a ridiculously small margin."

As a Nanase fan, it would hurt so much to see her come that close only to lose by the narrowest margin imaginable. Honestly, I'd rather she end up dead last in Chitose's heart than almost be first.

SECOND POINT:

Volume 9 also showcases Haru's incredible determination:

"But Nana, don't forget. I fell in love with you long before I fell in love with Chitose. I ran beside you long before I started running beside him. If I can change for the boy I love, then I can change just as much for the girl I love."

Honestly? I don't think anyone beats someone with that mindset.

THIRD POINT:

In Volume 4's prologue, titled "The Search for the Night Sky," Haru talks about her efforts and her desire to reach the bright moon in the sky (obviously referring to Saku).

But in the epilogue, titled "The Blue Sky We Found," she presents an entirely different perspective. While the other girls—and even Saku himself—remain trapped in this idea of the moon, Haru realizes she doesn't actually need it.

She searched for the night sky, only to find something that might be even better: a clear blue sky.

On top of that, in the final chapter of Volume 4, Haru kisses Chitose on the neck (she wanted to kiss him on the lips, but she's too short and that's all she could reach) and confidently tells him:

"One day, you'll make up for those ten centimeters."

I honestly can't remember any other girl making a statement like that with such certainty.

To make matters worse for me, in that same chapter, Saku says:

"Haru's radiant smile continues to captivate me to this day."

There's a very noticeable shift in tense there. It feels like an older Saku reflecting on something from the past. The phrase "to this day" implies that whatever started in the past is still true in the present.

FOURTH POINT:

You might be thinking:

"But Saku is searching for the moon, not the sun."

Who's to say he can't change his mind?

Besides, the story repeatedly compares Saku himself to the moon. Characters constantly point out how similar he is to it. If he is the moon, does he really need another one?

"We wanted to touch each other, but we couldn't. We wanted to lie on top of each other, but we couldn't. We wanted to drown in each other, but we couldn't. Perhaps it was the moon in our names that prevented us from doing so."

That's one of Saku's thoughts regarding Nanase in Volume 9.

I won't elaborate further because I think the passage speaks for itself.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

Maybe I'm completely wrong. It's been a while since I read the novels, and yesterday I only skimmed through a few chapters before suddenly having this explosion of thoughts.

Still, something deep down tells me Haru will be the final choice.

And honestly? That realization made me sad.

I adore Haru, but I don't particularly like her as Chitose's potential endgame partner. I prefer them as friends, and in my personal opinion, she's the least impactful of the five girls (well, after Yua).

I want to be wrong.

I want someone to come into the comments, completely dismantle everything I've said, and give me hope that Nanase will win.

What do you all think?

Imagine my disappointment when I found out those two weren’t a couple, and that there wasn’t just one more girl in the running, but FOUR 😭🤡

I felt like such a clown when I found out Chitose and Yuzuki weren’t a couple. There were so many edits of just the two of them all over social media that I assumed Chiramune was just a regular shoujo romance (I went into it completely blind, without even reading the synopsis).

I’m rooting for Yuzuki, but I have a terrible track record when it comes to ships because pretty much every couple I support never ends up together 😂😭😭

What’s the funniest scene in One Piece?

I think the scene that made me laugh the hardest was definitely that one from the Thriller Bark arc. Only Luffy could pull something like that off. What about you? Which scene made you laugh the most?

Honorable mentions to Luffy’s singing in Skypiea, Zoro acting like Tarzan, and Luffy dropping a pumpkin on Usopp’s head.
