Billy the Kitty

I grew up as a dog guy but an animal lover in general. Never had cats as my dad was allergic. I met my wife 13 years ago and she had just found this cat through the CDS. I’ll be damned if he didn’t adopt me as his dad and I gladly accepted him as my lil buddy. I grew close enough to him that I started joining cat subs on socials…Lolol! He loved his dog siblings and never chased our backyard squirrel friends. He would bring in baby rabbits from outside but never hurt them. He was the coolest cat in the whole dang town and had a kind soul. He battled diabetes the last 5 years and started having kidney issues as well. Never thought I’d be so heartbroken over a feline but here we are. Love you Billy boy….we will meet again in the clearing at the end of our paths.

Sorrow and Me

Been going through some things lately. I’m not a great musician but sometimes it just feels good to do a little strumming and singing. For anyone struggling, keep fighting the good fight

Sibling love

Out in the yard working in the garden. Although we now only have 2 instead of 3, these 2 are still doing great. Looks like they are taking a little relax session and grooming each other a little bit.

We had 3 baby squirrels this spring from the squirrel house I built. We’ve been watching them everyday as they figure out the world. It’s been one of the things I truly look forward to everyday. I got called into work this morning to deal with a bunch of dumb BS. Finally get home and start to set up my hammock and read some Stephen King and watch my buddies. Looked over and saw one of the babies on the ground. No wounds, I think he fell. I kneeled down and started petting him to comfort him. His fur was so soft. He was gasping for air and took his last breath while I was stroking his fur. At least he didn’t die alone. It was an awful experience. I dug him a grave and laid him to rest before my wife got home. RIP Little Buddy
