Raptor2 is here finally
Got my Raptor2 two days ago after owning the original Raptor for a pretty long time, and honestly the difference is bigger than I expected. The OG Raptor was already a beast in terms of power, but the Raptor 2 feels way more refined overall. First thing I noticed was stability. On my old Raptor, once you started pushing higher speeds you could feel little vibrations and that “hold on tight” feeling sometimes. On the Raptor2 it feels way calmer and more planted. The built-in damper actually makes a noticeable difference. It still has that aggressive sporty feel, but bumps and rough roads don’t feel nearly as sketchy now. Been riding mostly at night the last 2 days and the scooter just feels solid the whole time. Another thing I noticed is the overall build quality feels tighter. My original Raptor developed little rattles over time which seems pretty common with high power scooters, but the Raptor2 feels more premium out of the box. Hopefully it stays that way after more miles. Weight is definitely noticeable though. This thing is HEAVY lol. Not a scooter you casually carry around. But once moving, the extra weight actually helps it feel stable.
I know people online are divided about YUME sometimes, especially because older Raptors had wobble complaints and random QC issues here and there, so I was honestly curious myself before ordering. But so far my experience has been really positive.
Still too early for a full long-term review obviously, but first impressions after 2 days are honestly great. Feels like YUME took the original Raptor, listened to complaints, and actually improved a lot of the weak points instead of just changing the name.
