Question about hybrid/online program median scores

I'm currently waiting to get back my August LSAT score, and then likely taking the LSAT again in September. While waiting (and studying more) I've been using the admissions predictor tool in 7sage to try and give myself a realistic idea of where I should apply, and where I could possibly get scholarship money. My LSAT should be high enough to get me in to most of the schools I want to apply to, but my GPA is going to make me a splitter at pretty much every school I apply to.

I heard (somewhere but can't remember where) that hybrid and online programs may be harder to get in to than just the regular on campus programs if the school offers both. I wanted to see if anyone has any information on that? Is that true? Is it true at just some schools? If it is true, should I be adding a few points to the listed LSAT medians to see where I land in comparison? Any info would be great! Thanks!

Missy Gannon has a new fan for life!

I just wanted to give a public thank you to Missy Gannon. I was lucky enough to be able to take my 8 year old daughter up and watch the final round of USWDGC today. Over the past year, my (now) 8 year old has really started to love playing disc golf, and it has been a fun bonding thing that we do together. Ever since hearing that USWDGC would be coming to Utah, my daughter has been excited to go and asked about once a week how long until it got here. She has also become attached to a Buzzz SS and Zone SS that she loves to throw, and has hanging on her wall when we aren’t playing.

Watching coverage older coverage of FPO events my daughter learned that Missy throws Discraft, just like her favorite discs and has become obsessed. During the round today my daughter wanted to tap out about half way through the round because of how hot it was, and how much hiking we were doing, but hung on because she knew she had to wait till the end to get Missy’s autograph.

After the round we waited and watched, and finally saw Missy walking down the hill, and my daughter B-lined straight for her. She had recently finished a long round, had lots of other people asking her for her autograph, and I’m sure the last thing she wanted to do was stay out in the sun. But she took the time to talk with my daughter and ask her a few questions, gave her an autographed trading card, and an unknown spectator also there gave my daughter an old Missy Gannon stamped disc out of the kindness of his heart and Missy signed that for my daughter as all.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen my daughter so happy an excited. It’s been several hours and my daughter still hasn’t put down the disc (I think she might sleep with it tonight) and has been telling everyone around her how much she loved watching, how awesome Missy is, and how she wants to be just like her when she grows up. As a dad that is just so amazing to see, and so awesome how willing Missy (and many of the other pros) is to take that time when she doesn’t have to, that literally changed my daughters life for the better. My daughter is a fan for life, and so am I. You probably won’t ever see this, but if you do, thanks so much Missy, you are pretty great!

Finally seeing the increase in knowledge bringing up my practice scores

Tons of people make posts like this, but just wanted to add mine, both because its been a huge relief for me, and also because if there is anyone else that is experiencing what I experienced, the higher scores come!

I've been studying for about 5 months now, and for the longest time I was stuck at 159. For the last 2 months I have felt that I had made a breakthrough in my understanding, but my scores weren't improving. It was so frustrating because it felt like even though I was more confident, I wasn't seeing the fruits of that understanding reflected in my test scores.

I take practice tests every Sunday, and over the last 3 tests, PT153, PT152, and then today, PT151 I got a 160, a 164, and then today a 165. Seeing the increase in score, along with the increase in feeling of understanding, has been a huge relief! It feels like the change in the ways I've been studying have paid off, and that the time I'm spending is actually paying off. As an older future applicant with a wife and 4 kids, it has been stressful because there is a feeling of added weight that if I don't do well that this has all been a waste of time and money.

So basically, if you are feeling like you are in a rut, or you have plateaued, keep pushing! If you feel like you are understanding the test, the arguments, the reasoning, etc, but it isn't reflecting in your tests, keep doing it! Look at things you could do better, but keep working hard, and it will pay off!

And I'm patting myself on the back for getting off the plateau that I was on for what felt like an eternity!
