I’ll admit that I get upset when he misses opportunities to promote a hit record TV Off (clears throat) or only shows snippets of banger material within a few seconds of another song

Yet I still see Drake dominating streaming and collecting more achievements like it’s pokemon.

I really don’t understand that argument, was it bc it felt very primitive and outdated compared to other animes at the time like Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist (2003), HXH (1998), and Naruto??
I think the art style has a whimsical charm that matches the tone of the series.

It seems like Dot clearly shows his disillusionment in becoming the biggest rap star ever. Aside from his 🥩 w/ Drake, this has led to countless narratives reducing his legacy to ONLY his mainstream albums such as GKMC and DAMN.
Despite many of his fights being off-screened or lacking the flashy choreography seen in other shonen series, the amount of drama and tension packed into his panels creates a visceral, cinematic feeling that few mangakas can replicate imho
He stages scenes with the mindset of a film director rather than just a comic artist
Toei Animation really held this anime back in moments like this because of censorship, stretched-out pacing, reduced use of lighting and shadow.

I personally think the OST is solid overall w/ incredible iconic tracks, but it doesn’t feel varied enough to match the huge scale and diversity of locations like Alabasta, Skypiea, Water 7, and Sabaody. I also feel like certain tracks were misused during some scenes that were meant to feel especially intense or emotionally impactful.

I really love some of the tracks from the OG but this is the PERFECT opportunity to create a more varied and expansive OST that enhances the atmosphere of settings such as Alabasta, Skypeia, etc…
HxH 2011 and FMAB were able to create brand new yet incredible soundtracks from their respective OG versions.
