FB marketplace ban

Today I got a notice that my FB marketplace profile was “suspended” and I cannot use. I haven’t broke any community standards and have over 100 5 stars ratings. I have 3 kids and mostly sell kids stuff that my kids have outgrown or no longer need, nothing is expired or recalled, I double check. I did the appeal to have it reviewed. The only thing I can think of is a recent experience with a seller who sold me something broken, I let her know and she claimed it wasn’t. She said she would refund me if I returned the item, I didn’t want to drive an hour back so I told her I’d dispose of it. I never asked for money back or anything. I sent those screenshots to FB for review as well as the Venmo receipt. Any experience? I know it’s not the end of the world as there are other platforms and pages to sell on, it’s just annoying when there are so many scammers and I have an established account.

Concert for a 10 year old

How much is reasonable to spend on a concert for a 10 year old? My daughter wants to go to this concert in November where tickets are min $400 a seat, meaning close to 1k for a pair with all the BS fees. A lot of the kids in her inner circle are going. I told her if the tickets go to $200 we can go. Are people really spending 1k on tickets for 10 year olds? It’s not even Taylor Swift. We are in the PNW.

Key to happiness and not going broke.. learn to cook

With the rising prices of groceries and my growing family we’ve been cooking a lot at home. I’m tired to the basics so I shlepped my three kids to h-mart and got groceries to make Chinese hot pot. It was so simple and cheap, about $100 for 2 meals. The kids loved it and it was less stressful than going out to dollar shop and dropping $300-450 for dinner. The only downside is the prep and cleanup.

Tesla lease end questions

I have my Tesla lease up in Oct of this year. We are a few hundred over the mileage so I placed an order for another one last week (financed, not leased) is there anyone who has had success getting the overage waived or other things (wear and tear, tires, etc) during the lease end process? We are fully prepared to pay the differences, but curious about others experiences. Thanks!

Grocery spending

I’ve recently come across a Instagram account where the woman claims to only spend $300 on an entire months groceries for a family of 4. Here I am sitting mid week, having already spent $550 in the PNW. I told one of my friends and she said it must be fake and for clicks, my husband was impressed. Is anyone actually able to do this? I thought I might try to spend $250 a week and see where that gets us. Is my grocery budget over the top? I thought $400 ish was normal for decent food. We are a family of 5 in the PNW, mostly organic.

*I’m closing comments because people are missing the point. I understand that I make choices for “premium” options for my family. I make them because I feel they are the best for my family given my research and concerns. I say this as coming from a place of privilege. Growing up, my hippie mom also prioritized organic and local before it was the trendy thing, so it would be very difficult for me to reprogram and not buy organic when possible.

I still think $300 is insane for a month. I live in western Washington and the max SNAP allocation for a family of 4 is $994 a month, so I see this as a more attainable “thrifty” budget for a family of 4.

Those of you who can eat rice and beans for multiple meals, more power to you!
