This is a bogus hack for a ceiling fan, right?

Going to paint ceilings in the house we bought last year so I dropped the canopy on our living room ceiling fan. I noticed the box was slightly asleep so I started poking around to see if it was actually a fan rated box. Looks like a regular ceiling box that was secured to the joist with drywall screws. Is this remotely normal? Its within my skill level to replace, but wanted a sanity check first

How long after painting siding is it cured enough to support a window AC bracket?

Had a full exterior repaint done last week, with 2 coats of SW duration sprayed on our hardie plank fiber cement. Temps have been in the mid to upper 80's and humid. I have one room on an upper floor that gets very hot and usually has a window AC. I use a u-type AC where the weight of the unit is supported by a cantilever bracket that has a rubber "foot" pressed against the siding. I want to make sure the paint has hardened enough that the bracket won't mar the new finish. It's a West facing wall that gets a lot of direct sun

Vinyl window jamb screws are killing me

A bunch of the windows in the home we bought last year had broken pivot shoes and I am in the process of replacing them all. To do so, the coil balance and shoe needs to be slid up to the top of the track where the cutout is to pop them out. The tracks have these jamb adjuster Jack screws that protrude and obstruct sliding the balance mechanism, so they need to be walked in flush with the track and then (ideally) adjusted back out after replacing and before putting the window sash back in. The problem is that they are garbage and shear off even when gently turning by hand. Images here are one that failed and a working one

When they have completely broken (and no longer move the track) I just drilled out a few to get them out of the way, but this one did push the track (probably out of square now) and the slot sheared as to be un-turnable. What's my best recourse here?

My raised lettuce bed in Indiana, USA

Had a ton of rain recently and these invaded overnight. I assume spores were in the raised bed soil mix which contains wood mulch
