People who refuse to get to the point

This is mostly about video content, but also in just general conversation. Just get to the point, already. Sometimes there is need for additional context. Understood. But, why does it take some people five minutes to make a two second point? I don't need ALL of the background on whatever you're trying to convey. Quick, broad strokes will suffice.

If an actor can't "do" the accent, get someone who can. Or, even better, they could play the part in their natural speaking voice and drop the accent. It's preferable to sounding like they come from some unknown region of planet Earth. Topping that: an actor from the region the character is from. You know? Hire someone with talent who doesn't have to fake being Scottish or French or from the American South (for example), because they are actually quite well-versed in the vernacular.
