Going to smoke my 1st turkey next weekend. Any advice on rubs, woods, temps? Spatchcock or cook whole?
Normally I keep my smoker around 250-275 and use an apple wood and mesquite mix for pork and beef but I have access to others here in Arizona. And yes this is in prep for Thanksgiving.
Thanks for your help!
Took the title to my alliance zZm in Kingdom 987! It feels good to contribute!
Anyone got any recommendations for a great knife for slicing Brisket and pork ribs?
I currently use a Cutco serrated knife from my wife's set. (I know not the greatest but she loves them.) I want a knife of my own that she won't touch. I don't trust the BBQ YouTubers since they are just trying to sell me something they get a commission on and there are tons of knives out there. So please help!
Thank for the advice!
Today I did the 3-2-1 method for 2 racks of baby back ribs.
1st pic was right when I put them on my older LG1200.
2nd pick after 3 hours at 250.
3rd and 4th are after I sliced them up.
Unfortunately my wife used my good knife earlier I'm the day so I had to use a serrated knife.
What do you think?
No leftovers, sorry everyone!
I've been seeing charcoal pellets being used more often online and I'm curious as to what everyone thinks about them. I use an older Louisiana Grills BL1200. I have been wondering about the flavor charcoal pellets add and how they burn. Do they burn faster, slower, any issues noticed? What about mixing them with wood pellets? I appreciate the knowledge!
So I've been playing for a while and no one in my alliance has been able to answer this question.

Does it matter what hero tier you get to level 80 for drill camp? For example if I have 5 R tiers at 80 will the SSR power be the same as if I have 5 SSRs at 80 instead.

Thanks for the advice.
