I wasn't born in India but I have an Indian passport and moved here about 11 years ago permanently.
As much as I love the food, the climate and my friends, I am traumatised by the everyday stories women share on Reddit.
Everyday, there are women being sexually harassed, groped or worse.
And, despite having 2 dogs and continuously taking precautions, my anxiety is at an all time high when I leave the house. I have to think multiple times before doing so and I only travel during the day.
I want to be able to walk outside without worrying about my clothes, the time of day or my transport. I want to be able to trust people without second-guessing. Are women just used to this feeling or is everyone else just as anxious as I am?
Butterbear has launched the cutest cosmetic bag! I am so going to buy this when I arrive in Thailand.
Been suffering from acne since the age of 9 and cystic acne since the age of 28.
I've been to so many dermats in Bangalore, specifically (won't name which ones because I don't want people to hate on them). I've done the whole antibiotic 2-week cleanse, been on Tretinoin for more than 6 months, used Benzoyl Peroxide, Clindamycin, etc and nothing has helped.
I don't have hormonal issues, got the clear from my Endocrinologist.
I do not want to go on Accutane and I need someone who is patient and will hear me out plus read all the tests and history so they don't prescribe the same ointments and treatment.
I need someone kind, please. If you have anyone in mind, please share.
Absolutely adorable. I think these are the cutest Butterbear Cakes I've seen on the internet. <3 Wish I could get something like this for my birthday where I live.
I’ve been trying to let go of control a little more this year and say yes to things instead of immediately retreating back into my comfort zone 😭
I’m naturally very reserved and honestly love staying indoors most of the time, but lately I’ve been allowing myself to say yes to friends more often, go out more, and be a little more open to random adventures and experiences.
It’s definitely been a change for me because my instinct is usually to stay home where everything feels safe and familiar 😅 but surprisingly… I’ve actually been enjoying it a lot more than I expected.
Still learning balance though.
Mine are:
Masala dosa at Taaza Thindi
Mutton fry + mutton curry with chicken pulao at Malgudi Mylari Mane
Veg nachos at Hard Rock Cafe
Mutton biryani at Chichaba’s Taj
Burnt Basque cheesecake and French toast at Amintri
Need more comfort food recommendations for those “I deserve good food today” days 😭
OMG, this Butterbear bag is so damn cute! How do they think of these?
Just found this on Shopee Thailand! So excited to get this. :D Attaching shopping link below:
The internet focuses so much on red flags, so I’m curious about green flags.
For me:
respecting boundaries without acting offended
not forcing conversation
being kind to service staff (big one)
I love this city but sometimes it feels weirdly hard to make real connections outside work.
Would genuinely love advice from women who’ve managed to build a nice social circle here.
I'll go first:
My mom told me when I was going through a painful breakup years ago, "Never cry for someone who wouldn't shed a tear for you." And it genuinely made me realize that it was time to move on. <3
Can't find it anywhere now though, but I love the idea that it existed at one point! I'd have gotten the whole lot, lol.
I'm seeing some really cute tops on Oyela and want to purchase them. I don't doubt delivery, I'm sure it will arrive. I'm just curious about the quality, is it the same as the photo?Has anyone ordered from here and had a good experience?
I’m talking:
Not the dry airport-feeling ones pls 😭
Would also love recommendations for: chocolate and almond croissants!
Butterbear is teaming up with Ocean to release these new waterbottles. They let you switch caps to whatever you prefer and it comes with a super cute carrybag.
They're the perfect size! I actually carry these in my purse because it makes me smile whenever I peer in, lol. I love this Butterbear Blind box so much! I still haven't got the secret though!
Could be a place, a habit, an app, a route, or even something small you always do.
Trying to build a little thread of things that actually help, especially for those of us who are new to the city or still figuring it out.
For me, it’s:
Would love to hear yours 💛

So innovative and these make such cute gifts. I don't know how Butterbear comes up with these, so adorable! The milk and Chocolate cookies are my absolute favorite! <3
