mini PC choice for video conferencing

Good morning, I'd like to set up a meeting room with video conferencing using Logitech Meetup 2. Could you help me choose a mini PC?

I think any is fine for video conferencing, but if I were to share CAD drawings, I'd need something more powerful, even just for viewing... Are mini PCs always good in this case, or is it better to go with a traditional PC?

What advice can you give me on choosing a mini PC? budget should be less than 1.000€

thanks in advance

Laptop for cartography, cad, and points cloud

LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE

  • Country

italy /europe

  • Budget

2000€ (or less if possible....!)

  • Are you open to refurbs/used options?

no

  • Screen size

I am using a 15.6', probably 16' is better!

  • Weight limit

any

  • Purpose

work, GIS cartography, photogrammetry, CAD

  • Form factor

Standard/Clamshell

  • Intended usage

I work in GIS cartography and photogrammetry (I do photogrammetric processing on a desktop PC, but I'd like to be able to work on point clouds without going crazy). I work with AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Desired battery life

4, (and I would like to find a docking station for when I am at the office)

  • Please list, in order of most important to least important, the priority between Size, Weight, Performance, Battery life

ethernet connection, performance, battery life, size, weight

  • Info/Requirements

it has to have an ethernet port, since sometimes I have to connect it to a field instrument that only works via ethernet

Good morning, I have the most classic question... I need to buy a new laptop for work. Can you give me some advice?

I work in GIS cartography and photogrammetry (I do photogrammetric processing on a desktop PC, but I'd like to be able to work on point clouds without going crazy). I work with AutoCAD Civil 3D. I don't think the other software I use will be a factor in choosing a laptop.

I work both at home and in the office, so I need a laptop. At the office, I have a second screen to work better.

I currently have a VivoBook 15 with an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz (2.59GHz), 16.0GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card (4GB), and a 15.6" screen... and it's starting to struggle!

I was thinking of sticking with 16 inches, at least 32 GB of RAM, an i7 processor, and a dedicated graphics card (but I'm not sure which one), and I need an Ethernet port. I've had Asus laptops for several years and I'm happy with them, but there's always room for improvement!

(I didn't mention the price because it varies too much depending on where we are in the world, but generally speaking, for Europeans, I'd like to stay around €2,000.)

thank you for any advice!

Copy geotag from original pictures

We are working on a waste searching project. I fly some missions, we search trough the pictures for wase sites, we put marks on the picture (a Copy) and we give back a gis project with the position of the pictures obtained via geotag / exif.

I don't know what we did but many of the copied pictures Lost teir geotag and many exif data

Is It a way to batch import the correct position from the original pictures?

I could Copy One by One...but It would take ages!

Interactive map to gather member data

i run a small association, and I’m looking for a way to collect spatial data from our members (specifically points with related information, ideally using a form). There are only about 30 to 35 of us, so I don't have any strict formal or privacy requirements. However, I would like each point to include the author's name, even as a free-text field.

Years ago, I took a course on WebGIS, but I don't know how to build one from scratch, and it feels like overkill to make this too complicated. I would have used Google Maps, but it seems they no longer allow collaborative map editing for everyone (at least, that's my understanding).

Our members have absolutely no GIS experience. What would you recommend for collecting this data? A simple web map platform, an existing app...? Thanks!

Gmail app on android

I have multiple accounts on my phone and almost everything works, but I can't search through my messages in the Gmail app... The loading wheel just spins and it never finds anything! Is this even possible? Do I need to change some settings?

Thanks

Grazie

I also use my phone for work, and I've always used the photo locations as a useful reference. My Motorola 50 Neo, however, gets the photo locations off by up to 5 km! The GPS works well; if I open Maps, it shows the correct location... but the coordinates saved in the photo are completely wrong IF THEY'RE TAKEN OUTSIDE THE CITY. When I take photos in the city, I have no positioning issues, but in the countryside, it gets them all wrong! how can it be? How can I fix this?

thanks!
