Games for silly grown ups?

Help! Anyone know any fun yard games?

Having my first party ever- pirate themed 30th Birthday party.

About 15 guests, from several different times of my life, so we have groups that don't know eachother. However, they are all my friends, so they are all buffoons.

Its next weekend and I think doing yard games like obstacle courses or survivor-style challenges would go really well but I'm struggling to come up with games and im really worried about it being awkward.

How do you build a community when nobody gives your stuff back?

I want to share, and I'm always ready to lend a tool or book or whatever. But I've noticed I almost never get my stuff back, even when I ask for it. One person even sold the air conditioner I lent them....

Do I just choose the wrong people? Anybody found the balance of being helpful to others without loaning anything? Did I miss the memo on community where you don't share things? I thought that was the point.

Is my body doomed to fall apart?

I'm 30, been a carpenter for 7 years. I've had various minor-ish injuries (shoulder, rotator cuff, ankle, now back) that have come and gone but suddenly its all creeping up on me and everything hurts.

Admittedly I could be doing much more stretching and physio.

How is your body feeling? Found anything that worked? I'm open to switching trades but I do really love working with my hands. Would I be falling apart at a desk job too? What do I do?

30th Birthday party- need advice!

I want to throw myself a 30th Birthday party/housewarming party (finally moving closer to family) and I need advice on how to do it.

The problem: I am inexperienced and I feel like every gathering I've attempted to host, be it a BBQ or a Bachelorette has been an awkward failure. Nobody is into the activity, or its just awkward and nobody seems to be having fun and im definitely stressed about it.

I also don't have many friends, especially in the area I'm moving to. I was thinking I'd invite a bunch of my sisters friends since I know they like me.

Im worried it'll be an awkward mix of ppl who don't know eachother or will be weird somehow. I don't know where to start and would appreciate any and all advice for a really new host.

And I really want to have a party, I haven't blown out candles since I was 12 and I need to get over this fear.
