Bought these second hand bally scribe Derby's. Their archive team deduced that they are from 1969/70. They were in pristine condition, and I did a full saphir reno mat/condition/creme polish twice before wearing but after two wears these cracks formed.. they seem to get worse each wear on each shoe. The shoes are works of art (second photo) but feel like I've ruined them

Can a cobbler help me or can I diy?
