Beautiful botanical diversity in a small patch of Julian Alps

The high plains of Montasio, in the italian Julian Alps are in bloom. This small patch, a couple of square meters wide at an altitude of 1800m circa, was hosting a beautiful collection of flowers, some of which are also protected species.
An incomplete list:
Leontopodium nivale, Saxifraga paniculata, Primula auricula, Dianthus sylvestris, Achillea sp.

Just leaves from this Dactylorhiza fuchsii, but already very pretty (Mt. Matajur 1500m)

This should be a Dactylorhiza fuchsii, found in the wild on the border between Italy and Slovenia at 1500m (Mt. Matajur). I'm definetely going back soon to check for some flowers.

Hi everyone, consider this post as a suggestion for people like me who are just starting in the world of microscopy.

I have been struggling with creating thin sections of plant elements, but I found out that mosses have pseudo-leaves that can be one cell thick, so dont require special attention in slide creation, the pictures have been taken after simply taking a small leaf from the moss without any slicing needed.

Magnification 40x to 60x circa, photos taken with my phone. Microscope is a really basic Bresser

Neotinea ustulata, neotinea tridentata, Anacamptis morio, Platanthera chlorantha, Cephalanthera damasonium.

Found in Udine, Italy in a "Permanent meadow", a plot of land that is left untouched if not for a periodic trimming which is made every 1 to 2 years to let wild grassy species flourish.
