Wingstrike Paladin - Underwhelming gameplay or just me?
I picked up the DLC's a couple weeks ago and playing through the entire campaign on a seasonal character. I played the base game as a Barb shortly after release but I was pumped about the Paladin class, harkening back to my love of D2 Paladin.
I started with a divine lance/rally/aura build. Fun for the most part, but damage felt lackluster, especially on bosses. Decided to swap to Wingstrike after seeing some posts and tier lists on both reddit and maxroll, respectively.
I just finished the entire story line, but I find myself at an impass. The damage output of wingstrike, even with unoptimized gear, absolutely slaps compared to divine lance, but the gameplay is just so much more.... boring? Unengaging?
I feel like most of the time I'm just running around in circles, waiting for condemn and Arbiter of Justice to come off CD.
Am I doing something wrong? Should I stick it out until I get all the correct aspects and gear? Try another build?
